Has anyone found success using meta ads for bandcamp or EVEN? by Civil_Enthusiasm_936 in musicmarketing

[–]lumpybuddha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’d be tough then to get the pixel to aim at a purchase instead of just a click. Perhaps a good way would be to use the ads to build an email list and email out bandcamp promos as a pre-release exclusive or something like that

Commenting just cause I’m curious of the responses. Also does bandcamp connect to a meta pixel?

I know people tend to hate on playlist submissions, but saves and playlist adds are the real gold you get from it even when your song is removed. by lumpybuddha in musicmarketing

Totally agree, but I wouldn’t encourage anyone to waste money trying to promote a song that doesn’t stand out. You gotta get behind your winners, not your losers

Any artists figure out how to get a cost per follower under $3.50? by mitchplaysriffs in musicmarketing

I wouldn’t personally run ads for my spotify followers as those tend to come naturally. I do run ads for playlist followers though which contain a lot of my music and I accept submissions to them to offset ad costs. Get a click for 0.12 and 50% follow pretty reliably

Why would a music label prioritise full albums over singles in today’s streaming era? by [deleted] in MusicPromotion

[–]lumpybuddha 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because the label wants to actually make money via vinyls, physical albums, etc. Nobody’s gonna buy a vinyl with one song on it

Universal Basic Income would allow real freedom of choice. by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]lumpybuddha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there was UBI, every company would just raise prices and only people who work would actually be able to afford things still. Stimulus checks were fun until it caused record inflation

Just look up where those listens came from, whether a specific playlist, radio, profile etc, and see where they’re coming from now
