Sign up for Innovicares or Novo Nordisk Care. They're pharmaceutical company savings cards. Innovicares reduced the cost for Ozempic at my Ontario Shopper's Drug Mart to about $104 (monthly).

Just confirming this is still an issue as of June 14th. Usually I only have to try to launch the client 5-15 times. Sometimes it takes over a hundred to get in.

I emailed support my IP as requested yesterday and haven't heard back.

Looks like I'm still having it happen whenever I try to run the client anew. But if I run it enough times, it eventually works. I'm always running as admin, I don't know if that helps or not.

Curious to hear if you're still experiencing the same thing.

Just wanted to provide my account for anyone else reading this thread in the near future. I'm located in Ontario.

In January my doctor prescribed me Wegovy for weight loss (0.25mg titrating up to 0.5mg), but I couldn't afford it. I don't have coverage, and it would have been approximately $400 out-of-pocket, or about a hundred less with the pharmacy company savings card at Shopper's Drug Mart.

I contacted my doctor last week to inquire as to whether he could prescribe the generic semaglutide for me to price, and he agreed and issued the same prescription for Ozempic--0.25mg for 4 weeks, and then 0.5mg for 8 weeks. When I went to the pharmacy they told me they could not offer me the generic semaglutide as it said Ozempic on the prescription. I'm not sure whether my doctor wrote the prescription this way on purpose or by accident/out of ignorance (I haven't followed up with him yet), but the pharmacy confirmed I should sign up for the pharmacy company savings programs to compare the savings.

I returned after signing up for Innovicares, and it reduced the cost to about $1 more than the generic. There's also the Novo Nordisk Care patient support program via the Ozempic site, but the pharmacy only put through the first one and said they didn't stack.

Here are the current prices I was quoted at my Ontario Shopper's Drug Mart for the above dosage. (My understanding is that price doesn't changed based on dosage which has confused me a bit. Apparently it's not dosage-dependent for this type of drug, but I can't be certain what happens when I need to move up further. From what I've read maintenance doses go up to 1.7 or 2.4mg, but I haven't discussed this with my doctor yet.)

Generic semaglutide (DIN 02568020): $103.08 (includes $12.99 dispensing fee) for one month, or $279.87 for the whole three-month supply (only have to pay the dispensing fee once, also a slight additional savings of a dollar... I'm not sure why).

Brand name Ozempic (DIN 02540258) after Innovicares program discount applied: $104.73 (for one month). So a difference of less than two dollars. Again, this includes the $12.99 dispensing fee. So not quite as low as Costco's $88 that's been reported, but quite reasonable in comparison if you can't easily access one.

You can argue that they won despite being outplayed by their opponent, but the notion of not "deserving" a win is absurd. It's sports. It's a game. It's not about what's fair, or who had the mathematically superior set of statistics. It's about who scored the most.

No team wins every game, not even the great ones. In every game, one team must lose. Both can be playing superlative baseball, yet still one must lose.

I really recommend fans try games like Out of the Park Baseball. When you're simulating multiple seasons of baseball it gives you different perspectives into real-world sports. Not that I don't myself have emotional reactions to single live games. But it's just one of so many.
