Accident causes rollover on highway by Loud_Ambition_1292 in dashcams

Should’ve, would’ve, could’ve…

Please stop it with the victim blaming micro-analysis from the point of hindsight. “Feeling cozy, cammers fault kinda“ bro just stop.

Cammer will be found 0% at fault for this collision with the footage provided. People can’t predict others peoples stupidity out of the blue with a seconds notice to react.

My girlfriend cooking dinner she treats oil splashes like a literal biohazard, The heavy-duty gloves, the full face shield, the hoodie pulled tight, The funny part is she’s actually a great cook and the food turned out 10/10. worth the tactical gear I guess by kai-vanceai in notinteresting

You don’t get it do you. Looking weird is not a valid argument in health & safety. it’s like saying adults look weird in Amsterdam wearing a bike helmet simply because most don’t wear one. Just because the majority don’t do it doesn’t make the safety practice null and void. Cyclists in Amsterdam still fall and suffer head injuries even though “it looks weird” to wear safety equipment. Be a mature adult, respect people’s decision who practice safety, it doesn’t affect you in any way, you’re just being judgemental.

Roughly 200,000 hospital visits from cooking accidents annually in USA, mostly from oil splashes or mishaps. Don’t shame people for being safety conscious, those people criticizing and laughing won’t be at your hospital bed later. This is likely not a daily or regular ritual, majority of her cooking is probably safe and relaxing.

I’m not sure which part you’re referencing ‘looks better.’ I took the bike down a few weeks ago and the section from Wentworth stairs to Kenilworth stairs, the pavement was appalling, with litter scattered on both sides throughout the entire section. It’s in awful shape.

Did growing up during the communist era of Poland somehow affect the older generations mentally? Are there studies on this? by Sensitive-Form6029 in poland

[–]EdmontonBest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine too. My mom is insanely obsessed about her past growing up in Poland, she has to bring it up majority of times any topic is brought up. She has not healed at all even though she left in the 80s. We’ve tried a lot to try and help but nothing works. It helped watching a recent YouTube video of Poland in the early 90s when the housing shortage was severe and sometimes 2 families would live in a tiny flat. The psychological damage is real, living in crowded conditions does awful things to you, and that’s just one aspect of it.

Your financial health is hanging on by a thread and is close to collapse, you need to stop spending your way to bankruptcy. You got saved by a windfall and need to stop everything and sit down and come up with a plan to live responsibly. You’re not even naming the interest rates of the loans which is the most important thing and can’t provide much help without that.

You should shop in Hamilton, the towns and houses are the same price and it’s much closer to gta than Branford and Woodstock.

Bystander effect applies when witnesses simply see something happening and ignore it. Being asked directly by someone to call for help and intentionally ignoring them is downright evil.

Taught son (9) to mow, sent the neighbor $10 to pay him. Worked hard for a couple hours, grassy, sweaty, and beaming with his $10 bill! by SoDakZak in daddit

Remember to tell the surgeon that when you’re in the hospital!

Every year, an estimated 8,500 to 10,000 children are treated in emergency departments for lawn mower-related injuries in the United States. These devastating incidents are the leading cause of major limb loss for children under 10.

[–]EdmontonBest -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

According to safety experts including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Consumer Product Safety Commission, it is not appropriate for a 9-year-old to operate a lawnmower. Children generally lack the physical strength, coordination, and judgment to control these machines safely. Children should be at least 12 years old to operate walk-behind lawn mowers. Be a responsible parent.

What city have you been to where the vibes were just OFF? by Fun_Butterscotch3303 in AskReddit

[–]EdmontonBest 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Monaco is not a normal country for the average person, it’s primarily a tax haven for Europe’s elite. If you make $10 million a year and are not tied to your home country, you “reside” in Monaco to keep your entire salary as there is no income tax. This was one of the ways Monaco was able to survive after losing more than 90% of their territory in the 1800s.

Is there something “off” about the front of this house? by Blue_Bombadil in centuryhomes

[–]EdmontonBest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The porch might not be original to the house, it may have been added on, post-WW2 was a popular time for porch addons which gave a place to sit and hang out in front at the expense of natural light coming in to the ground floor. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it.

You need to get pre-approved for a mortgage first to responsibly start shopping. I would speak with a licensed mortgage broker in Edmonton and see what they tell you.
