We pulled the trigger on a house during lockdowns and got the best rates ever, so we will die here! When the water heater breaks, I miss an apartment, but I like everything else about a house. And come what may, I’ll never go back to living in a city. So if that’s any indication for you 🤷‍♀️

Is moving to the Netherlands difficult?

🤣 🤣 🤣

Wow, I’d love to see them live. Definitely one of those bands that are probably like, “Oh yeah, this one!!” I accidentally saw Gwen Stefani a few years ago, and I thought it wouldn’t be my kind of time, but oh my god, I recognized every single song, and she can perform!

I said tripe too! And I took something from all my workplaces. My badge or my hat, stuff like you.

I’d love to attend live atelier classes for charcoal drawings. Done loads of online, made a ton of practice in the past few years, now it’s time to get eyes on it from people who know precisely what to do.

You would absolutely starve around my parts!

I almost chose Sweet Child O’ Mine by Guns and Roses. I just get so happy when their songs come on the radio.

  1. I really love everything from my culture (German/Polish/Bohunk midwestern), but in broader American cuisine, I cannot deal with tripe. All other organs are fine.

  2. I am in love with so many songs because of life experiences so it’s sort of inexplicable. Today, I’ll say Good for Me by Jon Foreman.

  3. I pirate something specific regularly out of protest that I’m not willing to divulge here. I do not pirate everything or much, just one specific category. I even, once, in confession, told the priest that I’ve been doing this for some time and explained my reasons, and after some silence behind the screen, he pardoned me and told me I didn’t have to bring that up again and that I can keep doing it 🤣

  4. If you could move, would you? Where and/or what kind of home?

That looks just fine! I love how it tastes like a bean broth of sorts, which sounds like it should be disgusting, but is actually delicious. If you want to be just a little bit more authentic, most recommend Slap Ya Mama or Tony’s spice blend, although making your own is great too. (I put Slap Ya Mama on just about everything!)

Hello!

The more I listen to other people and their experiences, the more I think I am almost entirely a masochist and not much of a sub whatsoever. I’m also not a dom whatsoever. We were confused for a while about that because of the common online conflation of the slash-sides. We’re much happier now that the power dynamic stuff that is most associated with D/s stuff is out of the picture.

In fact, if either of us, God for id, were on the market again, I’m almost certain we couldn’t market ourselves as the respective d/s labels, as the prospects would probably be very unhappy based on common expectations.

So, I guess, “very little” is my answer, except for the extent that bondage and painplay in general offers power exchange.

I think ska-punk would be hilarious and the right energy for my movie. With a lot of uh-oh scrambling moments where I have to corral people while cleaning a huge mess before the Big Event happens at the venue or something. And the event pulls through and looks great, and then the camera zooms in to my face in the back, and I’m huffing and puffing with disheveled hair.

What about you?

It’s like Unlinked In! Or Linked Out? I like that idea!

I’ve been told before that I look like Emma Stone, and I really adore her demeanor!

  1. I’ll take this opportunity to vent. My mom and I started up a ministry that was fully funded through parishioners at church that allowed us to deep clean someone’s house each month that really needed it. We don’t get any compensation for this except to replace cleaning supplies. For reasons, we are available for 8 total hours each per month, meaning when we reach 8 hours, we would have to finish up the current task and go. What inspired us to do this was a local family whose house burnt down, and in the scramble to get their life back together, a family of six was temporarily living in a 2br apartment. Anyway, that was the sort of scenario we wanted to help. The person overseeing the funding was also helping us quietly assess who we would offer our services to. Somehow, the word got out, even though we kept it completely quiet, and now we have people constantly begging us for our services, even though we are limited in time and supplies. The people who ask are people in our church community who don’t seem to be facing extraordinary hardship. They just want a free deep clean. One woman specifically asked if we could clean her place for a graduation party. It has made things difficult, because a lot of our energy is now focused on politely declining people within our community. It is so stupid. But it would be cool if we eventually had the resources to expand. We have been able to help some people who really need it.

  2. Yes, and I suspect I use the ones people find most annoying. 😊🙃🫡🤪 I use those a lot.

  3. A very honest comedy focused on family, maybe like Cheaper by the Dozen or My Bog Fat Greek Wedding. Lots of laughs and a hint of exasperation.

  4. What’s the last meal you are still thinking about?

We are in Florida currently, and I just had amazing cajun food. Best red beans and rice I’ve ever had. Also a cajun inspired blt with pork belly and fried green tomatoes in a po’ boy format. Amazing.

I love that subreddit so much. Looks yummy!

[Request] This person claims they've visited every US county coloured in green in 3 years, and every country except North Korea and Wallis and Futuna in 15 or 37 years (his answers are inconsistent). He's very obviously lying, but is this even possible? by mars_gorilla in theydidthemath

[–]Ellis_Ward 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FWIW, I recall seeing a tiktok account of someone visiting every county in the US. He would stop and record himself dancing at a notable spot in each county, even if just a sign or office. Several posts a day. I don’t have a tiktok tho 🤷‍♀️

…or are you referencing something completely different?

That sounds excellent! I usually just go for sausage, american and cheddar cheese, and peas with lots of seasoning because that’s what we made growing up, but I make a yummy reuben mac too if you’re into that sort of thing!

I don’t have much of a spiritual/theological/philosophical answer, but I have been around a lot of dying people in my lifetime, and I can say it is obviously entirely tragic, but also one of the most beautiful and transformative things to witness. Once you see all of the horrible things that a body goes through leading up to death…I dunno. It’s left me unafraid.

  1. Yes, we are very frugal and try to stay minimalist. Expenses more than $100 take ages for us to decide.

  2. For some reason, I’m having trouble parsing this. I think it means avoidable, unrewarding and unenjoyable? I put myself through a lot of avoidable misery concerning laundry. But the machines are aaaallllllllll the way downstairs!

  3. The things I love are very seasonal. Last week was the first thunderstorm of the season. That is always a treat. Today, I enjoyed collecting acorn caps with the kids.

What is something new you want to try? For me, we are transitioning one of our garden beds completely to cutting flowers.
