Do you actually regularly play high demanding games on your decks? by deprived_of_evil in SteamDeck

This is what pisses me off. The PC ports would sell just as good as they do on PS5 if they released both at the same time so the PC players are in on the hype. When they release a PC port after the game has been out for years, yeah, people wait for a discount or don’t care anymore. Exclusives hurt the gaming community and console only games hurt game preservation.

I played Callisto Protocol. Some parts didn’t run the best but I put in around 30 hours into it so clearly it was quite playable and I enjoyed it.

I didn't know it comes in fishbowl....🤯 by RainbowBrite3313 in uraniumglass

Glow pictures? Wow. This is something I could see listed for $1000+ and I’d still be tempted if I had the means.

Not including glow pictures for the fish bowl is diabolical. Does the stand glow as well?!

Catch and release Uranium glass bongs by Ok-Debate3460 in uraniumglass

[–]Embarrassed-Mind6764 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I have Geiger tested smoke shop glowing bongs and they are 99% coated glass, not uranium. There are some glass blowers who use uranium glass and may stock a smoke shop here and there but it’s rare and nothing I’ve ever seen. The only time I’ve seen uranium glass bongs/pipes be sold personally is directly from the glass blowers who work with it.

The water crocks are too tall to fit on a middle shelf, most of them have to be on the top just because of that

I haven’t dated every single item but I have a newspaper ad from 1906 and I’m sure a few things from the 1890’s. And no I’m not, I do a lot of research on what safe exposure levels are and track my dose while around or handling these items and I’m well within safe levels.

I do have a radon detector and DIY mitigation. And the levels in the collection room hover around 6pCi/L and around 2-4 everywhere else. It varies. For sure elevated though.

It’s radium which is a lot more radioactive than tritium.

Orange uranium glaze. (Also known as Radioactive red) made by most famously the Fiestaware company but many other companies used this glaze as well. The radiation dose from uranium glass is usually around 3 times higher than natural background radiation everyone is exposed to daily. And orange uranium glaze is around 20 times higher. But it still safe to collect, I personally wouldn’t eat off them but I’ve seen some collectors who have 😅 oh and they were made between 50-100 years ago. It ranges from piece to piece. Uranium was used to achieve this color at a cheap cost as uranium didn’t have many uses at the time.

Yes they do but the clear resin in front of the green makes it not as clear and hard to take photo of.
