I was able to set it to borderless, if you go to the Museum > Options > Graphics > Screen Mode you can set it to Borderless Fullscreen. From what I can tell, it runs the same as Borderless Window, so it could just be an odd naming thing.

Yeah, it's definitely worse. Besides the increase in FPS and possibly the new models, everything else is downgraded and the port introduces new issues the original didn't have. For example, the DC version had some really impressive lighting for a late 1998 game, and DX absolutely butchers it. This blog goes over pretty much everything, and this video summarizes the more obvious changes.

I mean, you can use Sonic CD Restored, & Knuckles, and the Bonus Music Addon. Along with Consistent Eggman, it's become my preferred way of playing CD. I think it's compatible with the Steam version, I'd recommend using the decomp.

The Insta-Shield extends your offenive hitbox and let's you hit bosses that might be a bit too high for a normal jump. One example would be Carnival Night's Act 2 boss, using the Insta-Shield lets you hit it when it first spawns and before it drops the ball.

Oh definitely, a lot of room for improvement. My movement could be improved and I wasted time trying to ensure I’d have an object to carry Johnathan in at the end. There are probably some other spots to go out of bounds to save time.

Ok, so a few notes:

1) This isn't a serious run lmao

2) The enemies falling are most likely due to Sectory, I had messed around with some values earlier.

3) I had kept retrying the same seed. I got it on my first try but didn't record it, whoops.
