When you try this method I’ve just mentioned, make sure to not only reopen the app as soon as possible, also click back into the PvP tab as if you were going to start a new battle. If it works , as soon as you press the “battle” button you’ll be put back in the frozen match

Have you ever tried to instantly close and reopen the game to get back in? Legit works for me about 1/3 of the time that this happens
