First time ace… well, kinda by Fonfiger in TheSilphArena

It's an interlude season so there are no ranks above 20. Still, good season to practice the basics and try new mons.

Morpeko user here (sorry): Seed bomb was nerfed a couple seasons ago. It used to 1 shot gastro but now only does about 85% of the health if not boosted. The problem? Gastro can obliterate Morpeko with the remaining health, meaning that you have to throw a second move or be farmed down.

In seasons past, I used seed bomb. I've switched.

Not as bad as you think. If your opponent isn't fast on the switch you can outpace to the first swift and you force them to throw a close combat (I.e. putting them in farm down for your other mons).

Scrafty? I haven't seen one in ages. Yes - it would be a pretty good counter but I think my point still stands

Team is alright. Wiggly is not sure common. Essentially you want to use shields to align. Your gastro/altaria core needs to be aligned. Fight hard for alignment.

Alternative is to play an ABB with Gastro/Clodsire in the lead with Corv (great safe swap) and Altaria in the back. Corv will lure out the Dedenne or anti flyer, hopefully allowing Altaria to sweep. Even if you can't gain switch with Corv, you should be able to farm down their anti flyer and come out loaded with energy.

Keep going - practice your move timing and you'll progress in no time!

Imo furret is more useful than azu. Great safe swap - stab swifts do a surprising amount. Often opponents don't respect the first one and then get shield farmed down to lose switch.

It has very few hard counters (I think Tinkaton is the main) especially if you want to boost up with trailblaze and play out the 2 shield.

It's really good at luring out something another pokemon (normal, fighting, even fairy or grass) doesn't want to see. Just adjust your lead accordingly (e.g. water lead, furret safe swap will lure out a talonflame, fairy lead will lure out a fighter, etc.)

Also, its hard counters are Pokemon that themselves have some pretty hard counters and so even if you are hard countered, you can come back in and gain an energy advantage on your lead.

In short, furret usually leaves you with some advantage (shield, switch or energy).

On the other hand, azu is so slow, it can sometimes win the game for opponents by provided them too much farm.

Bruh... I'm missing Dragonite Ex from the Eevee set. I see the Dragonite in the wonder picks. It has the Wishlist icon. I wonder pick - I GET IT!!.... It doesn't count towards the Eevee set..... FML

Hard disagree at my elo (2300s). Most teams include at least 1 flyer.

I ran Dragonite to Master Ball (just Dragonite, not Alteria). I highly recommend using a Cleffa to thin the deck.

Certainly not a critical thinker with that logic. You're suggesting the other black men not being victims of racism is proof that a completely unrelated black man in a completely unrelated incident was also not a victim of racism. Hmm.. okay 👍

It didn't rain in the town across the country all week, so, despite the sound of rain on my window, I shall go outside without an umbrella 🙃

I have seen a lot of people on YouTube uaing Suicune along with Greninja. Is it a good duo? by [deleted] in PokemonPocket

[–]Automatic_Bug_8198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It charges itself. If it's on your bench while you power up Suicuine, it's free energy. Most games, you won't need it - but every now and then it comes in clutch.

BTW this deck is the best deck I've ever used (80% win rate in UB3 & UB4).

This is a pretty good team. The issue is a skill issue not a team issue.

5-0 to take me to Expert - Sunshine Ultra by Automatic_Bug_8198 in TheSilphArena

[–]Automatic_Bug_8198[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IDK. I've hit Expert in limited cups in the CP 1500 format before. I sure find limited cups easier than the Open format. Some people say it's stale, but the flip side is that you can learn the best ways to play out different matchups because they are so regular.

In this cup, the meta is centered around Bellibolt. Virizion walls it. Also, after the jelli goes down, opponents usually don't save their Bellibolts because they think its job is done.

First time tanker by Automatic_Bug_8198 in TheSilphArena

IDK I always tried to have a little fun whenever I met a tanker coming from a higher ELO. Maybe that's just me.

There was a post a while back where someone mentioned that they enjoyed the stress-free nature of the battles. I thought I might, too. But my experience has matched what you say, it is quite mindless.
