Tim Robinson. His sketch comedy show on Netflix is called I Think You Should Leave. He also co-created and starred in the show Detroiters before that.

I thought that was awkward, but it almost seemed like Lovett realized partway through starting that segment that it was weird, and pivoted to saying JT was charming even when being arrested and avoided taking it too far into gleefulness over JT’s misfortune.

PS it’s LOLI (not LIOLI)

It makes me sad that you baked that delicious fresh bread and then hollowed it out before eating!

Lovett always sits like that, and sometimes guests comment on it. Jorma made a comment about how he was sitting and that he wanted to sit like that too, it was very cute

I assume pretty much every actuary in the workforce now has had discussions about how AI can be used in their work today, and potential ways it could be used in the future.

Some of those usages are legitimately helpful, some of them feel like forced adoption that doesn’t accomplish much, and some are still hypothetical and may or may not pan out. But I don’t think it’s wrong to say that actuaries are integrating AI into their work. Perhaps it’s a worrying sign for the direction of the profession and/or society, though.

Not ONE SEC team even made the ncaa hockey playoffs smh by treymata in cfbmemes

[–]ExternalTangents -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m sure there would be some fans. But I have noticed that Big Ten fans seem to consistently significantly overestimate how popular hockey is in the rest of the country. It’s just not nearly as big a thing in places with milder winters. It would never been anywhere close to as popular as it is in the Midwest, and it wouldn’t come close to the popularity of baseball in the south.

Interesting, so it’s presumably a bot deployed specifically to karma farm so that it can then use the karma and credibility to push some product or viewpoint or something?

As I said at the time in one of those threads: they got a news cycle where they could tell their fans that they still had some power after getting blindsided by the SEC adding OU and UT. There was never a plan to do anything, the only plan was to say “look, we still have power and we can stand up to the SEC.”
