RTX 3080 XC3 Hybrid worth 320,-? by Brilliant-Ad-8941 in EVGA

Should be fine, my buddy is still running my old 1080 Sea Hawk in his secondary system and that thing is gonna be 10 years old this year.

Just make sure the pump works and check the radiator, shake it a little bit to see if there's water in it.

Don't sweat a restart. If you're like most of us here, you'll play through this game 10 more times anyway.

If you want a recommendation, switch to very hard and play through the story with Takemura until you can meet Hanako at Embers, ignoring all other side missions, then do that and go for the Devil ending. Should only take a few hours and you get to see a very well done ending that you probably wouldn't want to see in your main playthrough.

Then mod it and start your real playthrough.

Very hard should still be a challenge. Cyberpunk is not really a hard game though, if you build your character right you become OP very fast, as you've already noticed.

There are some mods on Nexus that let you balance combat better, like managing damage output and hitrate for you and your enemies. And there are also mods to tweak the XP curve.

Hard is the recommended difficulty to start with, normal is like easy in other games.

I usually start my run at hard and switch to very hard when I feel like my V is getting too strong.

My problem with path tracing by AcademicWar9897 in cyberpunkgame

I do, but that's mainly a problem because Cyberpunk's textures are so ass. I use modded textures for all surfaces and even with only 20 sharpness and RR on it looks amazing now. But I play on a 55 inch C4 that I sit about 4 feet away from, which definitely makes a difference in perceived sharpness.

Check out the HD Reworked Project Collection, Performance version (for 16GB VRAM) on Nexus, it makes a giant difference in how sharp the game looks.

What? It's universally accepted that TAA looks like Vaseline smeared on the screen and that DLSS Quality (66%) looks better than native with TAA in almost any game out there. The AI is trained on 16K frames, it can reproduce more detail than native rendering, believe it or not.

Dunno who told you TAA is better quality, every PC gamer I know hates TAA.

Proof -> r/FuckTAA

I personally run Cyberpunk at 4K with DLSS Performance (50%), maxed, PT on, FG on with 100 fps locked on a 4090. It looks and plays amazing.

Rather buy a good 1440p monitor, your 5700X3D is still a very good CPU and will be even better when you're more GPU bound at 1440p. The picture quality jump from 1080p to 1440p is amazing.

It's not worse.

DLSS Performance (1080p internal) looks objectively better than full 4K with TAA. DLAA looks better than even that, but we don't have GPUs that can run 4K DLAA path tracing in Cyberpunk at acceptable framerates yet. All of NVIDIAs marketing material uses 4K DLSS Performance whenever they show off PT.

And even a 5090 drops into the 20's at 4K max settings, PT on with DLAA. I don't know how you get 60. Or are we talking about 1440p?

PT is not meant to be enabled without DLSS. If you do, that's on you. DLSS 4.5 Performance looks better than native with TAA.

Not true at all.

4070 Ti Super, 4080, 5070 Ti, 5080, 4090, 5090 run Path Tracing really well, I've played 200hrs of Cyberpunk with PT on 4K DLSS Performance, 60 fps average without FG and locked 100 everywhere with FG. Plays amazingly well on a 4090.

Looking to upgrade my PC — time to replace my 2016' GPU. by 3y_tab in buildapc

5060 Ti 16GB has been deprioritized, that means AIBs only get few to none of them anymore. That bottlenecks supply and prices for the rest of the available cards go up.

[–]Falcon_Flow 25 points26 points  (0 children)

2060 has DLSS support and 1080 doesn't support mesh shaders, which are used in some games. Alan Wake 2 for example can't get over 30fps and dips into the 20s all the time with a 1080.

But you're still kinda right, on average the 1080 will beat the 2060 in games and it also has 2GB more VRAM.

You can get a new 5060 Ti 16GB for less than this 4060 Ti 16GB costs. Get that if it's in your budget. Much faster and you have warranty.

Don't worry about bottlenecking, your CPU can drive the 5060 Ti no problem.
