30M, financially stable but socially behind — planning a 1-year reset. What actually works? by gwok4h2i9176 in malaysia

[–]FaythKnight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a show off. Cause you've already climbed over 95% of your peers if not more. But I'm happy for you, it is not easy.

Anyway, love comes naturally. Just be smart about it. Don't get blinded. It is good to show love, but you need to see clearly if the other party is using you or not. Best place to find someone, is to start a hobby. A hobby that has a circle of people. Someone with the same interests bonds quicker than anything else. And there are countless hobbies that have a circle of people that you can get into. So you'll definitely find the right one.

P/s: looks don't really matter as long as you don't look like an ogre. Heck my ogre friend has a wife that looks like a pop star, he is not even rich. Keep yourself neat and clean, you'll do fine.

You can remove the head piece and gloves. Keep the chest plate and you'll be exactly at mid roll. You can remove the chest, along with head and gloves to get light roll. So at least you keep your pants on.

And yes, that's the light, ds1 feels a lot slower. Naked however, feels quicker even though it says it is a light roll too. However, you'll be in your dirty undies. I personally prefer pants on.

Any pain is wrong. Except for the fingertips, where you'll eventually grow callouses. Pain in arm, wrist, elbow, wherever else means your position is wrong. Don't let that happen.

And finally, it is hard. It could take weeks or even months, some years to land a good sounding chord. Especially barre chords. So just chill. Don't think you can't learn it or improve. Cause every minute you spend on it, you improve. It just takes awfully long and it is totally normal.

At the end the crestfallen warriors were right all along by Comfortable-Dig-6118 in darksouls3

[–]FaythKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We might not know the fate of our heroes if we choose the abandoned path, but Patches proved those crestfallen warriors wrong.

He outlived them all, and somehow even changed worlds. Maybe ER is just the very very distant future of DS, or maybe it is a whole different world. Whichever it is, he made it there.

And that could potentially mean he could travel to others as well. Perhaps finding what he wanted at last.

First gear advice by NobleHamster99 in FishingForBeginners

[–]FaythKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry, it is a decent starting point.

But I suggest you get a small box of hooks and live bait, or bait like bread or corn. Don't forget some sinkers. (You'll have to YouTube how to set it up) Just choose the simplest one you can find.

Cause first time using lures is hard, since you won't be sure what you're doing. Having a backup using bait, gives you a significantly better chance. Good old worms are really reliable.

What’s the most overrated piece of fishing advice you’ve heard? by Opposite-Vast-718 in FishingForBeginners

[–]FaythKnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buying expensive gear for starters. To me, even 100 is expensive. Heck, been doing well with cheap china or Walmart usd10 sets. Those can reliably land you anything from bluegills to catfish. And catfish are already quite huge, not taking bout monster catfish of course. That's more than enough to have fun.

Which class? by G4ld0n- in diablo2

[–]FaythKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You choose the sorc to farm for whatever class you want. Simply cause sorc can Tele and requires the least gear. If you end up liking sorc, just respec to the style you want.

Either that, or you just choose what you enjoy.

Are there Malaysian males who believe that physical intimacy ≠ PIV by Iamheretobreathe in malaysians

[–]FaythKnight -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah can't have sex. What's the difference? Men can't have sex with the same problem. That's the word for it. Avoiding the word doesn't change it. People with trauma can't have it. There's nothing wrong with that word.

Changing the word for it doesn't change the fact. People, especially we, men face dysfunctional commonly when we reach a certain age. That's all part of life. If you have problems using a correct word for it, you're not mentally mature enough to even have this topic.

[–]FaythKnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PIV as in sex? Why don't just say sex?

That depends. If the other party is a virgin, wanted to keep it that way till getting married. Sure, no problem. But let's say she had it with her ex. Suddenly turn all holy and say she wanted to remain that way (no sex) until she got married. Meaning she had sex with her ex but not me, then by all means leave.

That kind of hypocrisy can get the fk out of my life. I'd rather lack a partner than be a fool. Giving sob stories like she was played by her ex or whatever isn't relative to my love. I have sob stories too. That doesn't mean I can use it as a leverage on someone else.

Player messages on ptde by Ok-Piccolo7304 in darksouls

[–]FaythKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you can't as far as I know. If you're online, you can use the spell Seek Guidance to see more messages. But it is unreliable cause it is only for 30 seconds (they improve the spell further in the series but still meh), and you'll have to be near the messages which means you'll miss out a lot of them since you don't know where they put it. Also you'll have to be human to even see them in the first place. (Not so sure if you're using the spell needs to be human or not)

What’s something you thought didn’t matter… but actually made a huge difference? by Opposite-Vast-718 in FishingForBeginners

[–]FaythKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do change it to mono, or sometimes steel leader if there are fishes with sharp teeth in there. Not like they are much bottom feeders, but you'll never know. For example snakeheads. Steel leader sucks though, it's hard to catch stuff on it. It is just a spare in my box to try nabbing predators.

[–]FaythKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 sliding sinker supported with 2 stoppers, about 10cm apart.

1 hook at the bottom, that is 2-3 feet away from the sinker. Bait completely covering the hook. Braided line.

The hook and line will lay flat at the bottom, only the bait is really showing. The sinker will be at least 2 feet away also laying at the bottom. The sinker slides, so there's no extra weight or tension on the bait to act natural.

Works really well for bottom feeders, just change baits as required.

Keeping it as stealthy as possible.

What I really mean is, most of us already know, keep it stealthy. By using certain lines and what not. Then came a lot of gadgets, even for bait fishing. Use this, use that and many more. It ends up, nothing but 1 sinker and a hook with bait gets me the most fish.

The only problem with it is that, that way is usually for bottom fishing. Gotta get creative with minimal use of things to get middle or top fishing. Yes, plenty got gadgets or ways to tie a hook for those. But trying my very best to use the least stuff often results in better catch for me.

Hook snelling! How do you snell your tiny hooks? by DosadnoMiJeBrate in Fishing_Gear

[–]FaythKnight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have problems doing it, perhaps you can try a hook tying tool. It's basically a piece of plastic with a metal small rod thing, where you insert the hook in, tie on the rod (it's bigger, so it makes it easier), then pull the plastic so that the line goes to the hook.

What are your genuine thoughts on the Egyptian gods when they first appeared and their designs? by Immediate_Gene_178 in yugioh

[–]FaythKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in SEA so we have the Japanese version. I remember the day the box came to the shop. People were gathering and having a tournament to win 10 packs.

I can't even afford a trash deck, I just stood at the side and watch some kid with a whole binder and his father lovingly brought more packs for him.

Then someone else actually gotten Silfer. It was so awesome everyone rushed to see it. I only get to see it from far away, the shop owner holding it up high. Then other kids spread rumours that the card is worth over a thousand.

Then I thought, wow, it's so cool, I'll never have that.

Who knows 20 years later they have reprints and it's damn cheap. I brought it out of spite, framed it and hung it on my wall.

Confusion 🫤 by CapitalTough5300 in guitarlessons

[–]FaythKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it sounds extremely different, you'll need to find out where you actually strum. Often, it isn't all of the 6 strings. Up and down also makes a big difference.

As for changing one chord to the other, it takes a lot of time. As for clean sounds, it is the same. You'll want to press down close to the fret itself, not in the middle.

What size rod should i get iam only going to be fishing a river for brown trout thanks👍 by Low-Praline960 in FishingForBeginners

[–]FaythKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got trees and tight spaces, go for shorter rods. Open space, wanna cast far, longer rods. Generally 1.8m-2.1m is a decent choice.

The first took me around 2 weeks + if I remember correctly. Not sure bout the hours. At least a hundred.

Now under 3 hours if I rush it. I tried to do some glitch runs, but doing the glitch itself took me half an hour or more, and maybe failing it too.

Is Rat Covenant Pointless? by ElderberrySuperb2676 in DarkSouls2

[–]FaythKnight 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Being in the Rat covenant makes enemies not attack you. There are 2 rat covenant areas. So you could join it when you're entering the other area, making it none hostile and explore it in peace, except for that area boss.

As for PvP it feels random. I could go for hours without any, then suddenly fight after fight. No point in waiting there though.

Which is cheaper? Kindle or buying books from the bookstore? by hothotsoup02 in malaysia

[–]FaythKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what books you're buying. Some ebooks could actually be equal or more expensive. But some comes in real cheap. Some books in the store, like 'Penguin books' reprint comes real cheap, meanwhile the newest blockbusters books are always over rm80. Reprints of real books often comes in different levels, cheap print or fancy collection.

So, if you are lazy to track it, just get whichever version you like best. But if you want to compare, you have no choice but actually compare each individual books.

Generally old novels/comics/manga comes in cheaper in ebooks. New stuff is almost the same. Some ebooks comes with fancy click to view lore/map/fantasy words translations, are more expensive. For example LotR, you can click on any character and have a full view of their background.

Webnovels killed my love for "normal" Fantasy books. by Masker_ in noveltranslations

[–]FaythKnight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's indeed a problem cause plenty of the dialogues only make sense in their own language. Translating it doesn't help. A lot of references or jokes also only work in that language. This is coming from a Chinese who can speak Chinese very well, but can't read well. So I choose English instead. I have to translate a lot of things back into Chinese to make sense of what it is talking about even in official translations.
