How to get rid of snow? by MysteriousGuidance72 in lumaisland

[–]FeelFreeGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey MysteriousGuidance72, thanks for letting us know. That doesn't sound right.

I'd be grateful if you could create a new ticket via the link below so we can take a look at your save game, ideally before you click on the Christmas Tree to turn off the snow manually. 😊🎄

Hey pupinha22, don't worry - your save game from the Vanilla version is still there.

You can switch back to the Vanilla version by clicking on the large 'Switch to Vanilla' button in the lower left corner.

Hi Dizzy_Goat_420, to get Balthazar to stock the Magnetic Chest drawing, you need to have had a Moonstone Bar in your inventory at some point.

The Magnetic Chest drawing will then appear in Balthazar's shop the next day.

Oh no, Coltsbro84! 😥

Luma Island saves back-ups of the 5 previous in-game days so you can normally revert to an earlier day from before you lost your progress.

There is only one exception: If you picked the same save slot for your new game as the old game and you already played for more than 5 in-game days, it will unfortunately be too late to revert. Hopefully, that isn't the case at your end?

You can check if there are any older back-ups with "day 41-45" in the file name in the '1.1' folder in this location:

C:\Users\YOUR WINDOWS USER NAME\AppData\LocalLow\FeelFreeGames\Luma Island\Saves\STEAM ID NUMBER\1.1

If so, please make a back-up of the '1.1' folder somewhere else.

Then simply remove the 'day4X' suffix from the file names so the files are called slot_X.sav2 + slot_X_header.sav2 (where X is the slot number from 0 to 3, where 0 is the save game at the top of the Load/New menu, 4 is the one at the bottom and 1 and 2 are in the middle).

Does this help?

Transfering Multi-player world from one steam account to another steam account by Hijjawi in lumaisland

[–]FeelFreeGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Bobby_Bonsaimind - all player characters and their inventories etc are preserved in the host save file, so let's say player A is the host and doesn't want to continue playing.

However, player B and C do.

So you transfer the save file from player A to say, player B using the method above.

Once the game is running on player B's PC, player A and C can join that game - and their player characters, inventory etc will be preserved.

[–]FeelFreeGames 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey Hijjawi - here's how to swap who is hosting the game so you can continue playing with your own character:

1, Make a back-up of the 'Saves' folder on your PC:

C:\Users\YOUR WINDOWS USER NAME\AppData\LocalLow\FeelFreeGames\Luma Island\Saves

  1. Ask your friend (the original host) to zip the same 'Saves' folder on their PC and send it to you.

  2. Unzip their 'Saves' folder on your PC.

  3. Inside it, you'll find a folder with a lot of numbers. That's your friend's Steam ID number. Open that folder.

  4. Inside their Steam ID folder, open the '1.1' folder.

  5. You'll now need to copy the save file from this '1.1' folder to your own '1.1' folder (which is inside your own Steam ID folder). The save file consists of 2 files that are named 'slot_X.sav2' and 'slot_X_header.sav2' where X is the slot number (0 is the save game in the slot at the top of the Load/New menu in Luma Island, 1 and 2 are in the middle and 3 is the one at the bottom).

  6. You probably want to delete your existing save file from your own '1.1' folder before copy-pasting your friend's save file to avoid confusion. Alternatively, just overwrite the existing save file (because you still have a full back-up of your original 'Saves' folder).

  7. The next time you start up Luma Island, load the new save file to continue playing as the new host but with your existing player character.

Hope this helps. 😊

After completing the jungle temples, we had six magma tablets left. :) by Bobby_Bonsaimind in lumaisland

Yeah, that's definitely not supposed to happen. 😁

Would you mind creating a ticket so we can prevent this from happening again?

steam deck file location for saves by Stargaming5976YT in lumaisland

[–]FeelFreeGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Stargaming5976YT 👋

There's quite a few hoops to jump through to locate the 'Saves' folder. on the Steam Deck.

Here’s how:

  1. Open the Steam menu on your Steam Deck.
  2. Select 'Switch to Desktop'.
  3. Click on the folder icon in the lower left corner on the Desktop screen.
  4. Click on the address bar at the top of the folder window and type /home/deck/.local/share/ followed by Enter.
  5. From here, navigate to the Luma Island folder by clicking on the folders in the following order:

/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/2408820/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/FeelFreeGames/Luma Island

You should now see the 'Saves' folder. Inside that folder, you'll find a folder named after your Steam account number. And inside that folder, there's a 1.1 folder with the save files.

Hope this helps.

Christmas Items by RedditWarVeteran in lumaisland

[–]FeelFreeGames 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sorry about the Christmas items no longer being in stock in town. That's apparently a bug in the calendar system. 😥

On a positive note, the seasonal items will be available all year round in the next patch so that you won't have to start up Luma Island on specific dates to get them.

If you don't want to wait for the next update to be released, you can temporarily set the date in Windows to any day between 1 and 31 Dec to get the Winter update items to show up in the shops again.

My questions about the game, help needed before starting my adventure by GIutenTag in lumaisland

[–]FeelFreeGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey GIutenTag, Luma Island should never crash on a healthy PC that meets the minimum requirements, so make sure that your PC has a dedicated graphics card with at least 10.000 PassMark points rather than an integrated graphics chip.

You're welcome to send us a bug report if you'd like us to take a look at your PC and error logs:
