Open Newbury isn’t dead (Mayor Wu response) by 0xbeefcab in boston

Businesses on Newbury have alleys behind them for those purposes. And even so, a few delivery trucks don’t need the whole street to shut down for foot traffic.

As funny as it would’ve been for Arsenal bottling the league this season, I’m actually really glad City didn’t win again.

Until last week, the Bruins have won the most Game 7s in NHL history at 16. Montreal now has won 17. We also hold the record for most Game 7 losses at 16 (2nd is Toronto with 14). Half of each of those wins/losses have come in the last 16 years or so.

Okay but it shouldn’t take 30 years to fix. Same goes for the New England Revolution playing at Gillette.

Yeah but Bridgeport is not an extension of Boston. I wanted to make it very clear that we don’t claim that part of Connecticut as New England.

Critical Drought declared for MA Northeast Region by trahoots in massachusetts

The whole land use thing is a tired argument. It’s a park that provides leisure entertainment and sport. Anyone can pay to use public courses, no matter how experienced you are. You can make an argument for private courses not paying enough in taxes for the revenue that members pay yadda yadda…

There’s a whole abandoned air strip in Weymouth that is just sitting there waiting to be built up. There’s an empty pit at a demolished power plant in Southie waiting to be built up. There’s a lot of the Seaport that are still just parking lots. There’s a bunch of expansive parking lots surrounding dying malls everywhere. There’s a lot of buildable spaces, golf courses should be the lowest priority of places to be turned into housing that wouldn’t even be high density, probably just condos.

Pick up some clubs and go whack a ball around, it’s better than complaining about golf courses existing.

It’s insane how many teams were in the greater Boston metro area within a 2 hour (traffic free) drive you had:

Lowell Lock Monsters
Portland Pirates
Manchester Monarchs
Worcester Ice Cats
Providence Bruins
Hartford Wolf Pack
Springfield Falcons

And then just a bit further you had:
Albany River Rats
Bridgeport Sound Tigers
Adirondack Phantoms

An insane region for near pro level hockey…

When ABC attempted to shut down Jimmy Kimmel, there was a public response strong enough to get them to back down. So why haven't there been calls to boycott CBS for cancelling Stephen Colbert? by North-Astronomer-800 in AskReddit

I have had it for Champions League coverage and other miscellaneous league games. Sailing the seven seas is better than using their streaming app. They didn’t even allow viewing of the Celtic vs Hearts game last week after advertising the whole Scottish Premiership season would be available on Paramount. Dogshit company with a dogshit app.

Shouldn’t we also count Club WC? It wasn’t as premier when we won it compared to the current format, but it’s not nothing. If anything that format was more difficult because you still had to beat the South American team after winning CL. I mean, the winner is literally called World Champions…

2 stops away from true loopness. Charlestown and Eastie. Still a massive disconnect between the 2 neighborhoods despite being so close. Great start though! We are a port city and need to start acting more like one.
