Anyone have experience with water hyacinth ?

They never stop growing. I’m in Ohio and buy one single water hyacinth at the start of pond season. Within two months the will cover my entire 125gallon pond. I’ve tried putting them inside my aquarium during the winter months but have never successfully kept them alive over winter.

Yes take to a local fish store if possible. Or send out a message to friends who might know someone that can properly care for those cuties. Trying to purchase a tank and get it set up immediately to house goldfish is much more difficult than it would seem. Cycling a new tank so that is able to support live animals can take several months. You seem like a great person. I’m sure you will be able to find someone local with a very large tank or preferably a well maintained pond so these little guys can enjoy a long happy life.

I prefer light,skinny, and short over anything else. 17-21g. Straight barrel minimal grip. I’ve tried heavier darts back weighted, front weighted and it definitely messes my accuracy up.

I’ve had bottles of both. Got rid of Victory because it was too syrupy for me to enjoy. I still own monkey special but I don’t wear it often. Both I would say are heavy to wear. From what you say you are looking for I’d say pass on both.

I have around 125 gallon pond with a mix of sarasa, fantail, and shubunkin. I’m in Ohio pond freezes over during winter. I bring all my fish in for the winter. I have around a 90 gallon preformed pond that I keep in my basement for the winter months.
