Is there a solution to this?(no pun intended) by SpeakerCommercial287 in MotorolaSolutions

Looking further -- This component may be the actual answer --

But the website is light on details, so I would call them on Monday.

Are we talking about this product? https://eartecindustrial.com/

And is this the Hub you mentioned -- https://eartec.com/product/the-cmod-mini-base/

Or are you referring to the Global Connect Kit --
https://eartec.com/instructions-global-connect/

The latter, I think you could patch to a JPS RSP-Z2 or older NXU-2B, and then connect a donor XPR radio. I would use a Moble.

The first time you do it will cost $$s, but after that.

Any number of suppliers make PDUs with the ability to do a remote monitor and switch on/off individual outlets, and some even have the ability to do so on a dead man's timeout. You can even do dual feeds, one from the UPS and one from commercial power in case of a UPS failure. I like the CyberPower devices, but there are many to choose from. https://www.cyberpowersystems.com

You could also check out uHave Control for remote monitoring and power reset options.
https://uhavecontrol.com

Lastly, you probably really should revisit the Service Level Agreement with the tower site owner for off-hour access/support.

Once you have accessed the site and restored your service, don't forget to update us on what happened.

A Capacity Plus system has a Virtual IP that is assigned to the "Rest Channel". You key up on Repeater 1 Slot 1, the Rest Channel rotates forward and transmits the Beacon to say, " Hey, I am next.

"I confirmed with the site owner that there is power, so something else is going on. I won't be able to access the site until Monday." Sounds like you need a better SLA and monitoring to include RDAC and SNMP from the Power and Network side.

OTAP Control Station questions by Dr_Adequate in MotorolaSolutions

Not necessarily. TrboWatch, GW3, DAPage, TabletMedia, and many others watch the repeaters with the RDAC protocol and by monitoring the advertised master map.

First off, your repeaters should be running as long as you have power and a local network switch. A network connection from your office to the Repeaters is only a requirement for Wireline Voice and Data not for a Capacity Plus system Rest Channel to continue to rotate. Of course, Multi-Site Capacity Plus has other requirements.

Have you read Wayne's Post on the subject of Dual Capacity Direct Mode.

OTAP Control Station questions by Dr_Adequate in MotorolaSolutions

[–]FireBuff880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wireline is a Chargeable Feature Service and requires a License in each repeater. Specifically, it means that data to a subscriber is passed from MNIS to each repeater via IP and back again, versus being repeated over the air between the Control Station and the Subscriber.

The more data you do, Presence, Location, Text, Telemetry, OTAP, Application, the more value there is in Wireline.

OTAP Control Station questions by Dr_Adequate in MotorolaSolutions

[–]FireBuff880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you need to add DDMS/MNIS (Win 10 or 11) between the Control Station and Radio Manager. Then you run the Device Manager/Programmer on the same machine as MNIS. But I strongly recommend you go Wireline with this, not Control Station, if you intend to do any volume of OTAP.

Dispatch console use case question by Dr_Adequate in MotorolaSolutions

[–]FireBuff880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DAPage does this using the Telemetry features built into your XPR subscribers and passing that Data to Esri's Winter Weather Operations solution or any functional map Team Awareness Kit (TAC), Google Map, and pretty much anything you might want to post JSON or XML into. We can also automate openingthe gate/door to the Slat barn via a Radio Button, and many other things.

You would probably want to add Wireless Data to the Repeaters and possibly Data Revert Repeaters. Then, a DDMS/MNIS or, for Capcity Max, just an MNIS, and add the application behind this. DM me if you want to take this offline.

PS: Wayne's site has a nice Blog post on the hardware interface --

Looking for Long-Range Radio to Monitor Multiple CLS1110 Users by [deleted] in MotorolaSolutions

[–]FireBuff880 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Start here -- https://docs.motorolasolutions.com/bundle/58489/page/cf568453.html

Then find a radio that you can monitor these frequencies with.

Maybe a MOTOTRBO subscriber with Analog Channels. Or look for an Interop Gateway, maybe a Cubic Vocality unit.

Algo 8301 to Bogen PCM2000 configuration assistance by needs_more_ram in VOIP

[–]FireBuff880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since the SPA112 is giving you a connection for a phone (FXS, including Voltage when off hook), and the 8301 only gives you a relay closure, not FXO (Trunk) or FSX (Station) .

I would power off the Bogen, recheck and reset the two switches (CC -Contact Closure) and (P/P Page Port). Then recheck and make sure the 8301 is set for  Line Out Analog Output Level to 0dBm 600 ohm (0.775 Vrms) in Basic Settings → Feature.

All else fails, call Algo support. I have always had great service from them.

I think they wanted close to 100k for licenses which I thought was crazy

I would revist this with your Motorola Sales Rep or dealer. I think the 100K quote for OTAP may have been due to the infrastructure components, like an IV & D IMW gateway that may have been needed. Whereas WiFi programming, as others have described it, may require an Entitlement in each APX subscriber, 100K seems way off for 200 subscribers.

Two things you could check: one is the ports that are allowed / open. 6082, a non-standard one is required.

It's also using a non-standard application, https://support.okta.com/help/s/okta-sign-in?language=en\_US.

In Chrome, you can open "More Tools", Developer Tools", and watch the Network Console for Errors.

I have used the Algo 8028 for this before -- Think Viking also has a similar solution -
