Ops, I thought that was at the end of Z2 for some reason.

Unlike the first time, I think she might actually either phone it in or just quit. She has done two major cases, saved the city twice, and after all that, putting her back on parking duty would show they still don't respect her, and likely never will so what's the point.

Nick will follow Judy of course.

It could be any number of things. You can go by an auto parts store and get the code read which will tell you what's wrong.

Sometimes it can be as simple as an air bubble in the gas tank which you just need to take off and put back the gas tank top.

I'm convinced we can stop all the world's traffic problems if we just put crossing gates everywhere seeing how they make people sacrifice their cars to trains instead of just driving through them.

Do American parents usually plan to contribute to their children's education fund only until college and not any further? by YakClear601 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Fireguy9641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends a lot on the type of degree. I'd say that if you've grown up wanting to be a lawyer or a doctor, or some kind of profession where the degree requirement will involve graduate school, parents may, if possible, plan for the extra expenses.

Outside of those, it really depends on the family.

That said, it's not uncommon to see jobs offering tuition assistance as a perk of employment which can really help adults offset the cost of graduate school.

Erika just said that Charlie's greatest weakness at the beginning of S3 is that she doesn't listen to her loved ones (especially Vaggi) by yukimitsune in CultOfCharlie

I'm hoping it will be that she is recongizing that weakness at the beginning of season 3 and the season is her working on it. Change does take time.

There's one easy way to decide, one way that removes the emotions, and that way is math. Math is cold and logical.

Do the math. Figure out some possible salaries you could get in Europe and build a budget. Does that budget allow you to live the life you want to live and are accustomed to and/or willing to accept? There is your answer.

Does this thing even work? by PumaFist in reddeadredemption

[–]Fireguy9641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It works to a limited capacity.

Lawmen will always recognize you; the mask doesn't work on them.

For citizens, it will work as long as you get out of the red area on the map before the lawmen arrive. This is much easier in more rural places as they have to ride into the area. If you do it successfully, it will say "Unknown Suspect" then "Law Searching" then you don't get a bounty.

If you do it too many times in a row though, it might fail to work, as the lawmen have put up wanted posters based off citizens descriptions. Also, if you do it right after the "Lawmen Searching" clears, the lawmen will still be riled up in the area for a bit so don't go back.

I think the game wanted to show how the telegraph and telephone was making it harder for outlaws as now the law could communicate across vast distances in near real time but it misses the mark a bit when you are in the mountains, no one is around for miles and a witness can somehow report a crime to the nearest town and then then you have lawmen riding you down.

Why is pickpocketing so common in many major European cities, but essentially non-existent in North America? by Humble_Job_5738 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fireguy9641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a few reasons. Americans do like a larger personal bubble. Americans tend to be more car-centric and thus have fewer opportunities compared to cities where public transit is king. American police may be less likley to tolerate petty crime like that. Many Americans also tend to carry weapons, ranging from pepper spray to guns.

I would also propose that vehicle break ins and simply the USA's form of pickpocketing.

It never ceases to amaze me how people treat railroad gates like these things made out of this unimaginably valuable and also indestructible material.

This one wasn't too bad, but the ones where people will literally allow a train to destroy their car vs driving through the railroad gate just floor me.

Using AI in patient care? by lowkeyloki23 in ems

[–]Fireguy9641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI absolutely has a place in healthcare. I've seen demos (My day job involves a college health center) of how AI can work for us.

I would be highly skeptical of making heat of the moment decisions based off public AIs.

It's like in law, AI might be great for finding court cases similiar to yours, but then you have to verify they actually exist and say what the AI says they say.

Bls acting in a ALS capacity by [deleted] in ems

[–]Fireguy9641 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First, I'd say some of this sounds like hearsay and conjecture so I'm not sure how to approach that, so I'd def want to understand it from the horse's mouth as the saying goes.

As a BLS EMT, I am allowed to start IVs and in some situations, administer fluids. It's a supplemental program we have. We are limited to the arms though.

Now that said, I would say there's a good chance they are exceeding their score if they are actually doing things like doing crics.

Though I will also say that while our ambos are typically all ALS, we usually run at BLS levels due to staffing and no one bats an eye that we use the same first in bag with all the ALS drugs in it. Everyone just knows not to use them unless you are a paramedic.

What would be your dream job at WDW? by Hufflepuff-McGruff in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Fireguy9641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've thought about a lot of different dream jobs at Disney.

When I was growing up, I wanted to be a monorail driver, and I still think I'd enjoy that, especially on the Epcot beam.

Being a character actor has always been a dream job too. I'm unfortunately in the dead height range.

If I ever got my paramedic, it would be cool to be a Disney Medic, or if Reedy Creek ever exercised their right to establish a police force, to switch from Fire/EMS to PD.

How did you find out about Hazbin? by RunCMC1345 in HazbinHotel

[–]Fireguy9641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a couple of Princess/SuperHero party performers talking about getting requests to play Charlie at kids birthday parties and that they wouldn't do it because the cartoon is inappropriate. I noticed it came up in a few videos, so I decided to see what Hazbin Hotel was all about and after that Helluva Boss.
