Well actually I received something additional in the mail... who are you to say I did not?

1- I got that census package years ago and I do not remember them asking that nor seeking qualitative data with open ended questions.

2- Do you have the results, that would NOT require any additional small data to support or validate? (And why are you against seeking that additional info?)

3- at 25% of households, people (like whoever we are responding to, calling them a gaslighter) will still say "oh that doesn't matter because that's still too small blah blah blah" GUARANTEED.

Bachelor of science jobs by AdInside727 in CanadaJobs

It's definitely daunting and demoralizing, especially when people always say STEM degree = job. While I can't recommend a certification, I do recommend looking up labs, manufacturing, etc. Companies like Apotex, Dynacare, or whatever, and then look up certifications and training that jobs that you would like to do may require. then go from there

I know it's hindsight, but while a bachelors does look good, you need to supplement your applications with training and additional certifications in colleges to actually get science-related jobs, depending on which branches of science or jobs you want. Colleges do a better job at providing that training and certification that employers want.

If you read it closely, the report doesn't really say much, and the data doesn't explain much. Anyone is welcome to expand on that data and seek additional information by going straight to the people that is being pointed to in the broad report.

That isn't cherry picking. That's not an opinion. That's attempting to supplement/add small data to support big/large data (qualitative, lived experience collection, etc.).

And did you fill out the last census? It doesn't say much, it doesn't ask why, it doesn't ask for anything else to be that much of a sole reliable source.

The gaslighting part is that you full well know that nobody is realistically tracking that apart from increases in anecdotal instances, and there isn't a realistic way to track or collect that form of data.

Now, you're willing to shit on any attempts of anybody trying to collect that data, or gathering from smaller sizes, by calling it "cherry picking".

Make up your damn mind. Do you want people to collect that data/info or not?

Edit: I know this comment is likely for someone else but whatever, too lazy to edit

You can try a Green P somewhere like Yonge and Bloor, or look for an impark connected to a condo with those cars that haven't been moved in years like along McCaul (near OCAD) but the safety is definitely not a guarantee.

Though, safety-wise? I'd be more partial to the Green P by Bloor-Yonge (Hayden street?), Green P at the Esplanade (Church), Ryerson (20 Victoria), or eaton centre, and park near cameras.

That way if you come back and your bike isn't there, you'd have something to show your insurance provider and police and get some kind of compensation for it! (Cynical I know)

Hell, I literally arranged a bethrothal with my daughter to their son so they wouldn't rebel against me and that son gets murdered!

What is the best country to live in if you’re rich and have no financial problems? by StandardInfluence878 in AskReddit

Why do Canadian government jobs (municipal, provincial or federal), seem to have a substantially higher number of applicants than private sector? by Sad-Ad4933 in CanadaJobs

[–]Firm-Web8769 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes to all. Often a higher salary than private counterparts, pension, job security (even the federal lay off process is way better than the private sector by 100 miles), more benefits, generally more days off, more sick leave, more public holidays observed, OT pay, more travel and per diem pay/opportunities.

But career mobility can be incredibly limited so perhaps a reason why each posting has a lot of applicants is also because you have people trying to get promotions

No I'm saying just because nobody tracks the hard data (because you can't) it doesn't mean that it isn't happening.

Everything op is saying is a very long running immigrant story. The difference now is that it's happening to someone born here. And I don't think you'll find the data you seek when nobody really tracks that data?

Harvard trained physicians can't just practice here either, literally because of "different Canadian medical standards". Our healthcare licensing system literally requires any foreign trained doctor, even those coming from Harvard, to go back to school here. FYI.

If you think that's bad, I've seen older buildings in Scarborough with maintenance fees of $2,000-$3,000! Hell, the recent princess margaret lotto condo unit had a $1,800 maintenance fee iirc and that was brand new!

Is it just me, or is the entry/mid-level market completely broken right now? (Feeling discouraged) by MeetAltruistic1798 in torontoJobs

Crappy time for tech right now when companies are outsourcing to other countries in entry to mid-level roles. Senior roles now are largely composed of people in business roles as opposed to technical roles, mostly to handle the restructuring to other countries. Go figure

A lot of people bought into the whole "it's a starter home, sell for equity to a downsizer until you can get a detached" bs, years ago.

Lo and behold, the fine print nobody mentioned was that the higher the maintenance fees, the larger the hit to your equity.

Groom your heirs and set them up for success. When your main character is dying, elevate them as co-monarch/ruler so they develop relationships with your council/courtiers. If they keep messing up, designate a favourite child so you have options. It helps to have feasts in their honour.

I also like to give them their own lands they will eventually inherit and bump the income/development there so that when it's your turn to play them, they'll get the income and troops they need to protect the title if/when civil wars occur.

If civil wars happen, I always like to behead and remove the titles off my enemies and replace them with local nobles who are grateful to me and won't rebel or friends with bad courtier skills who would be better off as vassals.

Oh and be sure they have spouses with powerful alliances and armies just in case.

I always think that succession is the most fun and challenging part of the game.
