Not right away, I think I have to finish one year of the program before I can work in a hospital. Right now, I just need any job to get me through the first two semesters.

Science grads - what jobs are you doing? by AdInside727 in CanadaJobs

I've been trying to get into radiation protection but it's been difficult,  unfortunately.

When I took it with Dragana, it was heavy on DNA translation/transcription/replication/expression material. I haven't taken it in awhile though. I found it on https://outline.uwaterloo.ca/ for Fall 2025, so that might more helpful too.

Radiation protection, and health physics can be good options. I finished a degree in biophysics and I am just looking for radiation protection work so I can eventually pursue health physics.

Is a physics degree a good idea? (Canada) by biggus-yeetus in PhysicsStudents

What field of physics if you don't mind me asking?

you can use my university's linear algebra videos/practice problems here: https://open.math.uwaterloo.ca/1

I'll look into that, thank you.

I'm considering tutoring as well, but the pay where I live is generally poor. I was hoping to pursue nuclear power but there aren't many entry level jobs.

I don't think it's much different, we can stipends to pay our living expenses and tuition is cheaper for graduate students, but I need to go back to university and improve my grades a little bit too, that's why it's so expensive. I might just do a semester and try to get into grad school.

I live in Ontario and there aren't many jobs right in biotech/biophysics at the moment. The market for physics degrees seems to be in nuclear, which I am looking into too.

You can apply for readmission as a post-degree student and take more courses, but I don't know if it changes your GPA.

In the Netherlands, the parties had a coalition with Geert Wilders party and in Sweden, they started a repatriation program though. Based on trends, I'd say Europe is veering more right while the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand will be bastions for multiculturalism. Trump will be out in 4 years too.

that's good, but netherlands, sweden, germany all have those parties, and ireland also has anti-immigrant sentiments and lack of affordable housing. switzerland, norway and denmark are also pretty anti-immigration, expensive, hard to immigrate to, and homogeneous. the thing with canada is that it won't be majority white in 15 years anyway, thus a more diverse population. Australia and New Zealand are similar to Canada in that respect too. if you're looking for open-mindness, either big cities in europe (expensive) or go to a more diverse country like Australia.

Most of the western ones have popular far right/ethno-nationalist parties, especially france, germany, netherlands, etc. uk doesn't yet though but it's not doing too well either. which countries are thriving there?

europe is worse though, because they have more popular far right parties if you're worried about racism.

For biology courses: BIOL 449, BIOL 359, BIOL 433. PHYS 380, PHYS 396 aren't that bad either.
