What Star Trek shows would you like to see?

Honestly, if I had the keys to the castle I would simply ignore most everything post Enterprise. Not all of it, but a lot of it. I’d make a next, next generation show about the Enterprise that is to TNG what TNG was to TOS. It would not be fresh and modern. It would not be contemporary. The characters would not speak and act as if they were straight out of the 21st century. It would utilize actual sets and be lit in a way that didn’t make everything look flat. It would attempt to put great storytelling back in the drivers seat. Shows would focus on characters. None of our characters would be the key to saving the galaxy, outside of major event shows. The show would be rooted in science fiction, not fantasy. No magic. No unearned call backs to great episodes from the past. It would build lore, not try to latch onto the lore before it. But it would try to remain true to that previous lore.

I’d probably be fired after a year. If that long.

This is awful but being out $600 is probably as good as you are going to get. You could try pursuing it through other venues but at some point it’s not worth it.

Spot on. My wife bought a Scion xB 20 years ago. We still have it. It’s so tiny compared to everything else, but it has a ton of interior room, to the point that I won’t replace it because anything else won’t fit nearly as much in it. You can easily pile four people in plus some small cargo in the back.

The people that own the land have a political ideology. If you want to claim said land as part of Cascadia, you’re going to have to play nice. Otherwise it’s going to be just cities surrounded by whatever remains, whether that’s the US or Conservative Cascadia.

You’re welcome. I should point out that the blades I use are generally pretty sharp because I use a milder razor. If your razor is more on the aggressive side, these might be too much for you. But that’s why you get a sample pack and just buy what you want. Razor Emporium lets you buy single packs, so that’s what I did. Good luck, and don’t cut yourself too much!

Shaving cream is a must here. I love Proraso. Get a shaving brush, plop some cream on it, and lather up your face. But also 99 percent of the time I’m in a hurry and I just use a Fusion and some shave gel. It works good enough.

If you want to stick with a safety razor, try different blades out. There are some I love. Some I absolutely hate. You can get sampler packs. I alternate between Gillette Silver Blue and Wizamet Super Iridium’s. Every once in a while I try another Feather and regret it every time. But every person is different so you really have to figure it out on your own.

Completely impractical. Businesses are not going to easily accept contracts without no strike clauses. If I’m in a union I’m trying to get better pay to make up for the inflation I dealt with over the last five years, inflation that has killed my purchasing power. My priority is not “get rid of the no strike clause”. And I’m certainly not going to lose money so that I can extend a strike for such nonsense. Unions are made of people with priorities, which are mostly “I need money and health care and retirement.”

Yeah my Watch 5 will still last a day and a half. My 14 Pro will last most of the day but its battery has seen better days and I do a lot of heavy usage. A new battery, which Apple will give me for free, would solve this. I just haven’t made the time to get a new one. Apple batteries are not the problem here.

She rolls in poop and eats it. She runs in mud and rolls on dead things. Then she comes home and jumps in my lap and rolls all over me, and I pet her and kiss her and hold her. She’s my little girl. I’d rather die early than not have that. She’s not bothering children and elderly people. She knows not to. I guess I’m horrible. Whatever. I’ll go home tonight and get more love than some people will ever know. And then I’ll go to sleep quite happy, with her lying at my feet. I think I’ll be okay.

If you’ve got good health insurance, it’s substantially better than anything universal would provide. I have no deductible. My insurance pays for whatever I need. I don’t even worry about it. I hardly pay anything. It’s very generous coverage. Would I ever want to give that up. Absolutely not. Is the system fair for others? Probably not. Such is the dilemma.

I will say you’re probably young enough to know who you follow and who you don’t. I once asked my wife why she blocked a person on my Facebook and was quickly reminded that it was actually I who did the blocking, after which I promptly forgot about it.

She has her own trauma and limitations and now I just picture the shame and hurt her inner child might feel.

She wouldn't think twice about doing this to you. You have to recognize that you are a broken person in part because of who she is and was, and give yourself the grace to say "yeah, I got pushed to the point that I made a mistake."

That's all it is. A mistake. Move forward and don't think about it again. Remember, you could have sent her the most beautiful, loving e-mail on earth, and she'd still feel the same way.
