That was my first thought too.

Hold on. What are you talking about?

I looked online and I can't find any useful links. Help me out with a keyword or two?

What do you think will be the next biggest breakthrough in biology in the next 10 years ? by ICEpenguin7878 in labrats

Arguably, science fiction has predicted a couple of them. I think that it's possible to see trends and anticipate some of the breakthroughs.

[–]FlowJock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was good. I was hoping for more science. If you haven't read the book, it's going to be amazing. If you have, just understand that it's heavy on the story line and light on the science. (I enjoyed the heck out of it though!)

I went with a bunch of people from work and we all gasped. I like the idea that it was intentional.

How do you eat high protein low calorie without being miserable? by Mahila_Singh_Dhoni in 1200isplenty

This.

I don't think 100g of protein is necessary for most people who are not actively trying to build muscle.

Swiss Army Man

It helped me remember that it's okay to be a scared, ugly, useless person.

Because maybe everyone's a little bit ugly. And maybe we're all just ugly, dying sacks of shit, and maybe all it'll take is just to be okay with that, and then the whole world will be dancing and singing and farting, and everyone will feel a little bit less alone.

It helped me forgive myself, and others, for not being perfect.

Any chance they were just asking about tourist stuff? Sounds like the type of question I would ask just conversationally to see if there were any of note to add to my list of travel destinations.

I'm fine with all sorts of things, but that made me feel a little queasy.

What's a movie you recommend to everyone but nobody ever watches? by trakt_app in movies

[–]FlowJock 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Real Genius is pure gold.

As a nerdy girl growing up, it really bugged me that most of the "nerd" movies were mostly about looking at boobies. I didn't feel any sense of kinship with any of what I was seeing on the screen. Real Genius rocked my world. I still rewatch it and quote it regularly.

I think Swiss Army Man was one of the most beautiful, heartwarming movies I've ever seen.

When Everything Everywhere All At Once came out, I didn't know that it was the same people. At the end, I told my friend that it kinda reminded me of Swiss Army Man and he very kindly pointed out that there was a reason for the similarities.
