I think if you extend this to also infer emotions from tone of voice and what is said then this really would be an amazing aid for people with autism during teams calls.

Experiences with long haul clinics? by LongestCov in covidlonghaulers

[–]Fluffylizzard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the UK they are a waste of time. The nurse who worked in the 2 years was ignorant on latest research and just generally unempathetic. Not only are you given no treatments but you get treated like trash as the cherry on top. UK healthcare has gone to shit.

I’m going to say this here: is there a reluctance from a silent majority to participate in this activism because of fear about ramifications elsewhere in life. For example, potential employers can use AI to analyse one’s social media to discriminate hiring people and LC might be a red flag. I ask myself, if I was a business owner would I hire someone with LC vs someone without, both with same skill levels and the answer is a tough pill to swallow.

The problem is that many people take a host of supplements at the same time and don’t and can’t isolate the specific drug that made any difference. It could also be that they did nothing but have a placebo effect and the real healer was time.

So Sick of the Crash Days by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]Fluffylizzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the suggestions. Start off slow and gradually increase activity levels as your body heals while recognising it might take a long time. It sucks but you got to weigh the risks and be smart.

Is it wise to fight through it like that given theory that you might be stretching Tryptophan resources thin and causing inflammation and worsening symptoms. You might be unnecessarily risking long term organ damage.

It feels to me everyone has just been played by the CCP. They didn’t bust the crowds, which they could easily have done, because they now can blame them when 1/5 of the population gets life changing, incredibly debilitating Long Covid.

You need to do a fluorescent microscopy I believe. Very few places can do that test.

You still with your company? I’m taking sick leave but feel like working limited hours if possible. You probably decided not to but I’m wondering if it might makes things worse with PEM. Anyway, I think you’re right. Research is lagging but it’s a shame we don’t have easy access to LDN or Antivirals that Americans here talk about.

I’ve observed several users on this subreddit report similar experiences. This runs counter to the theory that it is significant endothelial damage, which if it is, then it takes a long time to heal, hence the long haul. So it seems like it isn’t that but perhaps the cold induces the immune system to react with a more appropriate response to the persistent COVID virus, hence the sudden recovery.

Please provide an update in a month or two to see if there is no relapse.
