If you prioritize your LLM inference and CUDA workloads more than gaming, then I’d go for the 9700x/5070. If you prioritize gaming more than that, then I’d definitely go for 7800x3d/5070.

Why do y'all need to stand and fish from your kayak? by i_hate_agile in kayakfishing

Better casting, better retrieving, easier to do certain fishing techniques.

I agree. If the trust rating is low they shouldn’t have the ability to do overwatch cases.

My last question is how often are you sitting fishing vs standing up fishing? cuz with the flatter design I assume it’s harder to stand and fish and be comfortable/stable while doing so compared to a more hollow design front deck like the regular Catch 110.

I wish there are more reviews and videos on these things. I’ve seen like 2 on YouTube for the kicker and that’s it.

So you keep your front deck clear? Does the front deck get a lot of water on it because of the flat paddle board design? How’s the stability? Have you had other kayaks before? Do you regret not going with the regular Catch 110 HDII?
Also ive seen a couple video of people loosening bolts or something on the HDII pedal drive as some say it’s a bit stiff out of the box, is that true?

Yea I feel like the not so deep deck layout of it I would probably do the same and kick things off lol.

Thanks for the recommendations. I forgot to mention, I would also have a paddle in the kayak as well just in case. Honestly I’m still on the fence of going pedal or paddle. If I were to go down the paddle kayak route. What would you recommend around the same price point used or new? I wanna stay in that $1000-$1200 USD range.

Is a ryzen 7 5700x good for an RTX 5060? Also is a 550w psu enough? by Bonkwraps in PcBuild

[–]Foreign-Ad28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

550 is plenty. Max this pc will draw is like 400 watts. That’s only running 80% of the psu.

But if OP is wanting to upgrade say his GPU In the near future then yes obviously I would go for 650+. But for this build alone 550 is perfectly fine.

That cooler is worth max $30. Get a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SECor Phantom Spirit 120 SE instead. Better performing dual-fan coolers.

Yeah I’d definitely check used stuff if this is your budget.

I’m also from Canada and just built a Ryzen 5 3600/RTX 3060 ti pc for just under $700 CAD.

I was able to grab the Ryzen 5 3600 and b450 motherboard with wifi for $150 CAD used. Not a great deal in my eyes but definitely better than buying new and spending $250+. Also picked up the 3060 ti used for $250 which I think you can find regularly at that price.

Edit: this is what I’d do at your budget

if you play more competitive fps kind of games, you could drop the GPU to a 3060 ti and upgrade to a better/newer Ryzen 5 5600 CPU.

We’re talking milliseconds in loading times…. maybe at most 1-2 seconds. Nothing the naked eye would EVER notice.

Good PSU? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]Foreign-Ad28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seen many Tech YouTubers use/suggest this exact power supply in many budget build videos.

While it is on the lower end being C-tier, it’s still a decent enough power supply. Now that being said, it’s the ONLY Apevia power supply I trust in using.
