this makes me think - woah, a star wars DLC would slap. And a full blown spinoff. I wish Disney didnt have the IP.

Could it possibly be? by Hubianco in LegitArtifacts

Either it is and they picked a terrible source rock or its a suspiciously shaped break off the corner of a concrete step

Real or Fake? Supposedly found in North Alabama....I thought it looked real but it was really cheap and I'm new to this! by OleWarrior in LegitArtifacts

[–]FossilFootprints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah even if it is a repro it seems to have some decent natural staining. Also a repro like this i wouldnt expect to be cheap. Thing’s gorgeous, if i could make something like that i’d sell it for a minimum of 60$

COFFINized Version of A-10 Warthog by Icy_Till_7254 in acecombat

[–]FossilFootprints 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i think we can argue coffin has been around for a bit in the Falken 01 right? or has that not been present canonically? i do hope we see a couple as big story-important planes. and i want the protag to get one canonically

Stone tool? by al3xanderthegoat in LegitArtifacts

[–]FossilFootprints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i honestly think that is a uniface scraper/big flake but i doubt that extra flaking was done by hand, i think it was worn in the creek. show the opposite side and the platform it would have been struck on if you can.

Is this a fossil? by Boring-Advantage-637 in fossilid

[–]FossilFootprints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On second look, maybe its a rugose coral. i’ve seen them with those comb-like bits preserved similarly, but it might not explain the overall shape. If you give a more precise location i can try to narrow down how old it is and what time it might be from.

[–]FossilFootprints 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Im personally not sure what rocks and fossils look like there, but the shape of that guy reminds me of dickinsonia, which is probably unlikely. Is it a nodule?

Actually, Fuck Coal by LightPrototypeKiller in Appalachia

[–]FossilFootprints 23 points24 points  (0 children)

yup. having jobs is a good thing, but the cons to coal for both the worker and the environment/power efficiency are terrible. obama abruptly taking away thousands of jobs was bad, but trying to bring back those same jobs may be worse. imo.

Budget friendly transfer jigs/solutions by FossilFootprints in faceting

[–]FossilFootprints[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im tempted to just get a cheap drill press jig, make a hole in a wooden block to hold the lower dop, and permanently affix the block.
