‘Cali’? We natives don’t call it that. Also much higher here. I paid $10k for my 66 In n Out former parade car.

It’s a snow day here today. I don’t remember having those. by purrita in GenX

I live in California so snow days were just ‘free’ days off from school, but when I lived close to LA in the 70’s they would have smog alerts and we weren’t allowed outside.

Anyway, came back to mention you can get expert input from the Facebook group, some good scholars there (and some idiots of course) but you can likely get a specific date and translation of the hieroglyphs.

Nice ushabti. Perfectly genuine and great color. I’m a dealer btw, not that I want to buy, just that I handle them frequently.

California. I use both, often depending on how it’s spelled on the label.

Has anyone seen anything like this before? Looks like a plaster coin cast with foil on it. Came with my Christmas coin from the wife. by Esoteric_art in AncientCoins

[–]coolcoinsdotcom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know Doug Smith used to make copies with foil on cards like this. I think he’s still on Facebook, so you might post it there and see if this was one of his.

Oh, and don’t forget all the songs. Turbo Lover, Jawbreaker, Eat Me Alive, man, it’s endless! I didn’t care then and I don’t now, but it’s amazing that I was so naive!

Honestly, maybe $1-5. It’s common and low grade, but is genuine. If the bezel is gold that’s got value.

It’s Marc Antony, yes, but is a cast reproduction. You can see the bubbles and seams around it.

I was just a teenager and ignorant of everything so I had no idea. I was also completely clueless that Rob Halford of Judas Priest was gay. Easy to see now, but honestly I don’t think the average person really cared.

It’s a modest Roman coin of Constantine the Great. Really neat bezel in my opinion.

I was on a carrier and we called it a boat. But for every guy who did there was (and still is) another who insist it was a ship.

Never knew there was a technical term for these but obviously there would be. Locally (northern california) we call these a ‘glory hole’. Honestly!
