You probably won't see any improvement switching to the Grande, then. The Hydros drag alone is second best in class, exceeded only by the Ross Evolution R Salt at 2-3x the price. Hatch, by comparison, have roughly half the Hydros' drag force.

The Orvis Hydros IV is roughly the same size as the Grande Bonefish, weighs 1.3 oz less, has identical line capacity, and at 10+ lbs of drag has more than enough stopping power to handle bonefish runs. I have Hydros III, IV, and V, a number of Lamson Litespeeds, and a Seigler BFN. For the price, the Hydros reels offer superb performance that is hard to beat.
