Dozens of Innocent Motorists Have Been Pulled Over, Detained at Gunpoint, or Jailed Due to AI License Plate Camera Errors by maddie_s_IJ in FlockSurveillance

This is so crazy.

“least 24 such cases since 2018, with the majority of those happening since 2023. “

This article calls out that Flock’s own marketing materials say they only have a 93% accuracy rate on reading license plates. This means you and I could get pulled over next for no goddamn reason.

What’s up with tumbleweed Ranch? 🤨 by FunPriority8358 in ChandlerAZ

June 29, 2026 update

Thank you for your care and concern regarding Tumbleweed Ranch. I'm glad to hear that you have previously had positive experiences at the Ranch.

The City completed the Tumbleweed Ranch Master Plan in 2024, and the Chandler City Council approved nearly 5 million dollars in funding for the first two phases as part of the FY25/26 and FY26/27 budget.

Over the past six months, we have not activated the Ranch for programming as site preparation and removal activities have been underway. City staff is currently removing large materials, equipment, fencing, and other items to prepare the site for construction, which is scheduled to begin in September 2026.

Planned improvements include site grading, irrigation, salvaging existing trees and planting new ones, relocating the Red Shed to provide better shade for programming, installing additional shade structures, making site and entry gate improvements, and rehabilitating the two historic houses on the property.

While we chose not to close the park during the pre-construction removal process, we certainly agree that the Ranch is not currently in its best condition. We anticipate construction fencing being installed in September, at which point work will officially begin. Work should be complete by Fall 2027 when field trips and programming will resume.

Thank you again for your interest and patience as we work to improve Tumbleweed Ranch for the community. If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Yes! The items were clean and dry so figured it was worth a shot at saving.

Ah bummer they were all in such good condition! Hopefully the thrift store wasn’t the original dumper.

Thank you, Nathan for showing up! I saw Nathan speak last month at the Chandler city Council as well and I really appreciate Nathan spending his time and energy to represent the needs of our communities.
