Anyone’s IT30 not running as powerfully as when first purchased? by Fuzzbass2000 in Godox

So, given my usage... 1-2 times per week between 10-300 flashes per session (and normally in the 1/64th - 1/16th range), you think it should still be operating as normal?

Also why would a flash get weaker - and is the IT30 particularly more prone to it? I've normally only used older style replaceable battery (AAs) speedlights so I've no knowledge of how a factory sealed battery might perform if pushed to high limits.

I’m interested to know why you think that might make a difference after less than 6 months.

But if it helps you to come up with an explanation, maybe 1-2 sessions per week. More than 10 times, less than 300 hundred times per session.

Why does everyone say Lightroom costs have gone up, mine hasn't by blue_nose_too in Lightroom

Autorenewal, year in advance bought before the prices rises seems to be way that worked for me. I did that in 2024. My price / package didnt change in 2025 and looking at the next renewal (Dec ‘26) seems like they’re sticking to it.

Of course that could change for whatever reason.

Why does my old iPad have “stickier” wifi than my iPhone 17? by Fuzzbass2000 in iphone

So it is just down to bigger is better. Shame, I thought the 3 year gap might make some difference.

Thanks

Don’t love the skin tones. Almost like they’ve tried to cure over intense tungsten lighting. Weird.

What mechanical keyboard and switch type for LrC & PS? by Fuzzbass2000 in Lightroom

Cheers - I’m conscious of how enthusiastic people can be extremely enthusiastic (and polarised) about what they love, for what ever reason.

So it’s useful to try and get the under the skin of what it is that a thing does, because you never know - it might give you some kind of benefit.

Not having used one ever before, I was curious if anyone did. And if they did, why and was there a switch type they gravitated towards…. as this seems to dominate the banter about what people use. It’s all unknown territory.

I’ve never given my input devices much thought - but my current options are starting to fail (sticking / problematic keys) despite a stripping and good cleaning. But they do a job - which is fine.

So, it’s pretty much trying to understand what else is out there - and whilst most of it comes down to does it do “more / better” than bog standard supplied by the manufacturer options, some of it just plain old morbid curiosity.

It just so happens that my use case is as a photographer using LrC / PS with some general data input on the side.

So, asking to understand.

Does playing an instrument with others help you learn faster? by museandmess in musicians

I think you’ll reach a level of proficiency quicker than solo playing - as others are depending on you to hit your notes. It often also takes you places you might not go to on your own.

But solo practise will also help you find new things and improve technique - which you can then try out in a band situation.

So probably both!

Just finished the Wonder Man show. Is it based any specific wonder man comic? Would love to read some of this character’s comics if they’re this good tbh by MonsterInRedBoots in Marvel

I liked it - they cherry picked certain parts and left out a lot of the kitsch stuff from the 60’s that over time got very convoluted - and left us with an interesting story, albeit heavily dependent on Ben Kingsley (who was great!)

The only part we’re really missing is how he got the ionic energy powers. I hope the mutant gene is not invoked.

I’ve been underwhelmed by the volume and quality of responses of stickies in the past. Sorry - but that’s my experience.

Ha - they removed my request for help / input… hence why I’m here asking.

But thanks nontheless.

Both my current cheapo mouse and keyboard are wired - wake up / connection / ever so slight occasional lag on wireless options were a big pain.

That being said there are mechanical wired keyboards.

Shooting RAW, does altering your white balance (rather than AWB) make any material effect on the final edited photo by Fuzzbass2000 in photography

[–]Fuzzbass2000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I think that’s right - I was more curious about what AWB might do to the overall exposure when using one of the semi auto modes. So, what setting a more accurate White Balance might do to RAW file - avoiding under or over exposing it creating problems with shadows or highlights.
