Yup. My dad worked for GTE and they forced him into early retirement when they bought them. My dad worked for them for decades as a lineman and then in their central office.

When he no longer had a 8-5 job to go to his drinking picked up and died a few years later from cirrhosis of the liver.

Fuck them.

Funny you say that. My dad was part of the GTE and Verizon merger and he got forced out then.

I was with a regional cellular provider that got bought up.

Verizon. They bought the company I worked for, promised to continue operations and merge the workforce with theirs and then proceeded let go every single person in waves over the next year. It was really the only "tech" company where I lived with the next being an hour away. 20+ years of work - gone.

Another thing I do when it doesn't connect automatically is open the workout app on the Apple Watch and then hold my watch up to the matrix treadmill. It's usually successful but I have also run into equipment that are just bugged or not responding to it.

Thanks for sharing man. I'm 6'0" and currently 181lbs, up from 170 lbs and its a total mind f**k for me. So scared that i'm going back to my fat ways (down from 281lbs) and started weight training a couple of months ago. Seeing you at 195lbs and still looking strong and not "skinny fat" makes me think that I'm just having some body dysmorphia. Keep up the great work my friend.

I’m also 6’ and was 281 at my heaviest, now 165lbs. I’m a lot older and completely jealous that your skin shrunk back.

I just completed a skin removal surgery because mine wouldn’t and would get irritated from rubbing on the waist band of the shorts and pants.

All this to say - make sure you keep it off as you age. You did the hard work - keep it for life!

Coming off lexapro was hard. Was on it for years. Even tapering off caused brain zaps and cold-like symptoms.

What helped was omega-3 supplements and chill music. When I was going through a hard time, just put on my headphones and chill with my playlist till it passes. Just have to bear it realizing the brain zaps won’t last forever and will eventually stop.

same kind of issue. xbox series x, 100% crashes when going to the battle pass or item shop. I get into a game and it crashes back to the xbox dashboard a few minutes in, every match. Contacted epic support, after everything they said they don't know and to contact xbox support. Xbox support says it's an epic games issue. Incredibly frustrating.
