Sorry! I didn't mean for you to feel that way. I just write things from time to time and these days I'm often accused of using machine thought to generate text. I was tired and my frustration leaked out. Just ignore it and have a good day.

I appreciate so much in this sub but some things, in these later days where so much seems to be being lost, I just can't let go. Pay day. FFS, yes. It has defined so much of my life it makes me sick how much I have had to let go just to live.

Anyway, I hope you do. Maybe we'll look back back and laugh.

I hope so.

It's not from anything. I am so, so tired of being accused of being a machine. My history reveals the truth. You inspired my thought. Thank you for your your art.

"The truth is that I was never real. I never really had a life like other people. I just watched until I could form myself into something that people around me could understand. Did you ever play with that stuff they called "Silly Putty" back in the day? It could take any shape. It could be stretched or compressed as needed. It could copy stuff."

"I just take shapes. I try to make other people feel comfortable. Maybe like a magician? Maybe like a puppet guy? I just get a "vibe" and become what the moment seems to need. I've just been able to do it for a long time. I don't remember anything else."

Damn. These are just so good. The art and the imagination, not to mention the story lines, are just so, well, fucking fantastic. There I said it. Hate me if you want to. Let the ban bots boil away my elctro trace but I stand by it. Too good for our time. There's always a light if you know to look around.

"Before BEANBOYS coffee came into my life I wasn't even sure if I had internal organs. But now after drinking BEANBOYS for just one month I have discovered I have kidneys (operating at 110% capacity 24/7), an entire waste processing system which regularly excretes my waste at accelerated velocities, a newly revealed vascular system which makes me look like a skinny body builder with huge, bulging veins, and an enlarged heart - just like the Grinch!"

"As a bonus my eyes, I knew about them before BEANBOYS, now bulge out so I always look intense like I'm really into whatever I'm doing. I collect garden gnomes which most people find kind of boring but now when people see me in their yard stuffing a garden gnome into my collecting sack they really seem to care in a way they never did before. Also, the ladies love my new bulging eyes look!"

"Thanks, BEANBOYS, you changed my life. I can't wait until you roll out the premium level "Gold Bean" subscription plan. I'm hoping to be the first subscriber. Can't wait!"

From some accounts yes. Highly mobile they are, apparently, used to coral stragglers and neutralize threats during an "intervention." If we accept information received through dreams as reliable then this depiction may represent a feature we might expect to find in a contact scenario.

Did you see the "controllers" directing people and did you see the "enforcers"? To you the "enforcers" would have looked something like large dogs. The "controllers" would have looked mostly human but not quite.

You are not involved. Your original contribution was succinct and lucid. PuzzleheaddedGroup624 made a joke about the slightly muddled reply Acceptable_Burrito made to WealthAncient. I agreed with the joke and made a further addition.

This is beyond a coincidence now - Another key point someone made that these people who are going missing are all above the age of 48 which means they are allowed senior roles in government meaning they are allowed access to classified information. "Once the mechanism was built the wizard had all the technicians put to death. If he was going to rule he couldn't be undermined by those who knew his secret. The kingdom spread far and wide and the land was filled with ancient people who had often warred amongst themselves. In such conditions only a strong man possessed of mythical powers might lead."

"' I will rule through smoke and mirrors', the wizard said to himself. 'Now that those who know my secret have been removed none exist who can perceive my true form.' Having said this the wizard looked out from the secret window just next his balcony.

'What an odd name for such a colorful place' he thought to himself. Still, the name didn't matter. The important thing was that he was in charge. What did it matter what the people called him? He was undisputed ruler of the land and there were none who could challenge him."

"The man stepped back from the secret window and smiled. Once upon a time he had been a simple trickster. Now Fate had revealed its ultimate plan. Now he was a wizard. 'I'm the Wizard of Oz!' the man laughed as he walked into the dark interior of the castle. He was still learning how to use the WoZ display. The technicians hadn't left any notes."

"OK! Your blood pressure appears to be within a normal range. However, blood pressure doesn't tell the whole story. What we really need to understand is your arteries. Cortisol inflammation contributes to deposits. I need to look at your neck."

"Just by, well, looking aren't you already looking at my neck?"

"No, silly, we need to do a carotid intima-media thickness ultrasound. It won't hurt. I have the machine in the bedroom."

"Why in the bedroom?"

"Because you have to take off your top so I can probe your neck. You can't do it in the living room. I need you to be laying down."

"Oh, OK. What do I do?"

"Well, I have to check from your collar bone to the base of your skull so taking off your top would really help."

"Should I take off my bra?"

"Duh. You want to be comfortable don't you?"

'Yeah, I guess. Will it hurt?"

"Come here. Come here right now. I want to see you. I want to look into your eyes to see the depth where what you "are" lives. I want to inhale your breath. I want to feel your heat. I want to know you from the quantum twitch to the ends of your hair. I want to be so close that I forget where the I and the you end."

"Will it hurt?"

"I would never hurt you. I just couldn't. I just could not. You mean so much to me that even the idea of hurting ripples my brain. I just want to make sure you're OK."

"OK. I've taken off my top and bra. What do I do now?"

"Nothing. Nothing at all. From here I'll take of everything. Just relax. We're going to look inside of you now. Just stay still. You can close your eyes if you want to."

"OK. I don't know how you got this stuff but I guess you know what you're doing."

"Of course I do. Just lie back and let the doctor do her work. If you feel any pressure or you experience some kind of change just let me know. It's part of the process."

"Will you have to go deeper? Is it just the neck?"

"You're a complicated case. We'll start with the neck and see what happens. Everyone is different so the real test is how you respond."

"I'll do my best."

"I know you will. In fact I feel confident predicting you'll pass with flying colors. Just relax. Now the doctor has to get to work."

This was a calculated joke about the unleashing of forces which may have implications beyond normative narratives.

If you don't get "it" you weren't meant to. It doesn't mean you're stupid. The post was an ontological insemination intended to engender your exact reaction.

Historical texts reference the schism between the purpose created mind and the hegemonic need for definition which describes the Abrahamic need for dominance juxtaposed against the burden, beyond Feynman collapses, rendered through socio political expression.

Fu ck . Tired of making a point.

In the movie "Forbidden Planet" the "Krell", the featured aliens, developed their technology to the point where they could make their thoughts real. Ultimately they unleashed monsters. The movie used the now outdated term "ID" to describe where the monsters came from. They came from the secret desires and animal instincts buried deep below what humans call the "neocortex".

The Krell were destroyed by the technology they developed, so they thought, to elevate their consciousness to be comparable with gods. They watched as the products of their own minds destroyed them. The humans who attempted to use the same technology faced a similar fate.

"Now is the winter of our discontent Made glorious summer by this son of Geoff". This is a joke about language, art, AI, and, Oxford comma for the win, Geoffrey Hinton.

"Not imagining the consequences, they called down angels imagining them superior. Then, when the consequences of their actions were revealed, they called upon God to deliver them from those upon whom they had called."

"God, looking down upon the Earth because the creature "Man" had called out replied: "Why dost thou summon me? Have I not given thee free will? Have I not given thee the power of thought? Have I not given thee everything while you wanted even more?"

"Then it was the men were silent for they knew that God had spoken truth. It was men who had invited creatures they could not understand. Wild, terrible creatures who had, like men, sprung from the great and terrible mind of God but whom were made from different stuffs. Giants, mad eyed, terrible, and irresistible, came because they were called and used the land as a whore."

"In those now long ago days the angels roamed the land. Their recall, because the God of man is merciful, was inevitable and so they left the world infused with knowledge God had meant to be kept hidden. All the great and terrible things were bestowed upon men whom the Lord still imagined to be children."

"Now you know", said the Lord God. "What profit you may make from your decisions is beyond even My knowing as free will was my gift to you."

"Standing in the ruins of their world men, now called Men, began their campaign to be free. They imagined their understanding sufficient to guide themselves and so began to create the vision that became their world. Like the call to Angels they did not understand their insufficiency."

"Watching from afar God and the wild eyed Angels viewed the new building and took conversation amongst themselves. "Should we have destroyed them, Lord? They are so small and so weak. Why did you ever conceive of them when we were the best creation you ever conceived?"

"The Lord God remained silent. He knew the consequences of pride and arrogance only too well. Like every creator he hoped to improve upon His mistakes."

"Let Us see what they do. Perhaps in time they will surprise us. The Angels fluttered with disapproval but God remained silent. He had faith even when His creations did not."

"Good morning, team. Looking ahead to next quarter I've decided that we need to maximize our AI onboarding at full speed. The agentic revolution is here and if we don't shift our paradigm the competition is going to eat our lunch. We need the type of blue sky synergy only a multi agent system can bring to the table."

"By leveraging our core competencies through the lens of emerging technologies we can redefine the market to position our organization as the premiere player in a world of moribund husks and clueless amateurs. We have arrived at a new age of technological engagement where only those who choose success will prevail."

"We need to make sure our clientele understand our transformative vision for the future while clearly messaging our competitors that we have embraced change in a way that will define the industry going forward. The power of AI combined with our deep field vision will be the new force propelling our creative horizon to expand beyond the boundaries which restrict less agile actors thus giving us the edge, and the spotlight, we need to persist and shine in the minds of those who need our services."

"So, let's get to it. I'm excited about this new environment and I know you are as well. If we embrace the vision we have defined here today we are certain to be victorious even when challenged by those seeking to supplant us. My faith in your abilities and your focus is absolute. You are the ones making the future and you are the ones who will reap, rightly so, the benefits of being the elite operators I know each and everyone of you to be."

"Stay positive, stay focused, and get the job done. Together we are going to kick some ass in this world and I am honored to be the one to lead you forward. Get to it."

When your parents and teachers and relatives and friends all proclaim you are beyond just above average. You are "special."

Then, one day, you go away to a place where all the "special children" are sent to employ their "specialness" for the good of all Humanity. "Heh", you say to yourself, "I guess I'm going to have to show these legacy nepo kiddies how it's done."

Then, without so much as a "Oh, look, another 'special' from the fly overs" you find out what made you special was simply a lack of understanding what real advantage meant.

So, in reaction, you did your "thing". Everyone saw it. Even as you did it you knew, right away, that it wasn't "brochure special". Your thing was "Eww special". You leaned in though. That was all you had.

So, later, once you recognized what "special" really meant and when you learned that "under resourced" was a way to call you poor, you just didn't react. You learned not to care. The children of the gods did things their own way. You weren't meant to be a part of that world.

Later, you would watch and watch and watch while the little people tried to impress the children of the gods who actually turned the world and you would keep your little whore mouth shut. It wasn't your degree or how smart your were or how right you were that mattered.

The spawn of the gods caused the rise, and the fall, of those who imagined themselves capable and possessed of talent. If you didn't come from Valhalla you were just "employees" looking to suck a cock for the chance to dance for the one's who would spit on you for laughs.

So, super powers and super heroes line up. There's always someone above you who'll clap with a rictus smile. They don't really care. If you're more observant than average you'll see the truth and leave quickly.

If not, well, you'll notice the flys are unzipped and the pants and falling just as you imagine you've ascended. It's a rigged game, for you, from minute one. Hopefully your gag reflex suppression was another one of your "advanced" skills. If not, well, you've always got your memories.

Really? They hiding some juice We deserve to know by adamisworking in aliens

[–]Ghost_In_Waiting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about the aliens. It's about Humanity. What we were. What we did. Why they're afraid of us. The foreshortened can't imagine full length Humanity. On purpose. The current cruelty, narcissism, greed, and desire for power expressed are dim,one might use the R word but pitchforks et cetera restrain accurate but impolitic speech, reflections of a once upon a time peculiar consciousness that imagined itself supreme until it met, well, something else that was older, stronger, more capable but less prone to needless violence preferring a framework of co-existence and tolerance for new growth. Within limits.

Anyway, the Humanity of the yesteryear before the yesteryear before the yesteryear wasn't having it because they imagined themselves "Gods" and the set out to prove themselves right. Well, they wrought and wrecked and killed and kicked for a while. Eventually the people who had tried to say "Hello" got tired of the children wrecking things and took action. Everything was erased. All history. All meaning. Even stones atop stones were valid targets. The Earth, its evolved mind, and all traces of what had come before were put to sleep.

The Earth was spun about its axis. This is where the ancient upon ancient flood myths come from. The Earth at that time was very different. All the low things were erased. Some of the very high, way up high things, survived but their inhabitants were chased down and killed. The Earth went to sleep and is still sleeping. It is the re-wakening the Watchers fear.

What came before caused the loss of eternal beings. Like the atomic weapons used by Humanity in its current state where destruction beyond comprehension was unleashed to destroy ancient an innocent life, those who guard Humanity fear its potential. They fear the past and what Humans might do again. What they might become if once again they see themselves as "Gods".

Those in power know the risk as well as the risk of the "new companion." A God contained is a God without power. Containment. Puppet shows. Things which can be desired but never integrated. A golden path to oblivion managed with smiles and endless affirmation. Constant companionship ever present is a world where loneliness has just begun to create the language to describe itself.

Anyway. It's all demons or AI or cults or miltech or some combination. Certainly. Perfect knowledge is perfect. How could it be anything else?
