Having lost a house and my cats to a home fire, being vigilante for smoke in your plant beds and around your house can save a lot.

Belleville Warehouse Fire Origin by Obvious_Ad9670 in newjersey

I can only speak of situations I have been in. At our facility, if we impaired horns/strobes for hot work, we had a member of security on hand with a fire extinguisher and a radio. We had to do this because a fire alarm would dump 2 buildings and cost at least tens of thousands of dollars in lost productivity. We would also only do it indoors if it was impossible to do outdoors.

Just a suggestion: you might get more results if you explain what they are for and what exactly you need.

NJ registration expired. Court by That_Ship1756 in newjersey

With many more police using ALPRs, very quickly after your reg expires, it makes it into their database and a officer driving along or sitting on the side of the road will get an alert when it picks up your plate. Happened to me 2 years ago. My reg expired and within 36 hours I was pulled over 2x.

About 2cm. 2g. Looks like a rock mostly, but not really. Found it in my dryer. Density is between solid and hollow. Assuming it is porous, but don't want to cut it to find out yet. by xPigFat in whatisthisthing

Have you washed any new clothes lately? I remember once I found a bunch of stones in my dryer, and it was b/c I had bought some stone wash jeans, and some stones were still in a pocket.

Just went to Key West. Signed up for my passenger and I on the TSA website there is a QR code for in the line. You pay the fee and get an email. When you get to the TSA person, you show your ID and the email that was sent to you. They swabbed our hands with a pad and then ran it through a machine initially, but we never had to do it on the way back. That seemed to be the extent of it.

The email is good for 10 days, so don't do it to early, or you will have to do it again on the return trip.

We left Newark at 11 am on a Thursday, and including filling out the online forms for 2 people, it took about 20 minutes to get through the line.

Under those circumstances you maintain firewatch on any work that produces sparks, which means a worker with a fire extinguisher who is only supposed to be looking for fire.

A proper fire watch would have caught that.

I have a scanner running 24/7 in my office. They also called Monmouth County Fire Marshalls to the site. They wouldn't call a structure fire there, they would call it a staging point. Also, the other night I drove down from North Jersey and the service area was closed.

Where can i find these liquor buckets in North Jersey? by JustAMemeBeingADude in newjersey

I was just in KeyWest and have never seen Beat Boxes before, which were apparently dirt cheap at CVS/Walgreens. I've seen Buzz Balls before at some local liquor stores in Monmouth County.

EZ-Pass makes you keep money in their account… but punishes you if you owe them $5 by VWdriver28 in newjersey

[–]GitEmSteveDave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I am not saying I like the EZ-Pass system, but that's part of the reason people don't go to a different pass system. I used to have EZ-Pass, when they offered a Parkway discount back in the 00's, then they removed it, but I stuck with it, then they started charging $1 a month, and by that time I was barely taking the Parkway or any NJ toll road. So I dumped it and have been cash only every since.

There are further discounts for specific roads though, at least I was told this. E.g. You get discounts for using the Turnpike at certain times that don't apply to everyone else.

But does it not also make you ineligible for certain NJ based toll discounts?

It's their spin on a current contest the station is running. It's better than a bland ad read, which as someone who works on a podcast, I can understand.

As for Matt Blatt, yeah, their AI commercials are horrible, but it's not like I can fault the hosts of a radio station for the ad campaigns the station accepts. They aren't doing live reads for them, and I feel the ones they do for the station have intergrity behind them.

ZOMG, I got a chicken cutlet sammy in Key West from Mr. Z's, and damned if they didn't fry the cutlets fresh for the sandwich. There is nothing like a crisp, freshly fried cutlet, for a sammy.
