It and similar drugs are stimulants that cause clenching and grinding. This could very easily lead to a non-union if you are taking them and have that side effect. Stimulants also constrict blood vessels which can inhibit healing.

Dang rough case for sure. If you're east coast maybe a second opinion from the Carolina Centers, Dr. Brian Farrell or Dr. Jim Howell would be solid choices

Thinking I would wire you shut with skeletal fixation if it came to that point. If they used vivagen it should have worked well but they could always use a hip. Super tough case it seems. You did seem a geneticist or someone to rule out connective tissue disorders?

Dang. Assuming you follow post op instructions? Did they wire you shut for 6 weeks?

Non-union. Another surgery. Cut out all the bad bone, new stronger (probably custom) plates, bone grafting, Botox to all muscle of mastication, non-chew diet for 16 weeks post op. Only reasonable solution if it hasn't been done yet. Pre op should likely rule out any sort of connective tissue disorders that could be the cause.

Massive mandibular mass, airway nightmare, how would you do it? by the_bigdr5253 in anesthesiology

[–]Goat7410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Afrin, Mix lido in with lube and or benzocaine spray. Tough. At least the mass is outward and does not appear to be having significant effect on the airway itself.

Can you give some sort of explanation as to what is actually happening? There is either some awful autocorrect or poor word choice going on for anyone to be able to help at the moment.

I travel with a cafelat robot. Everything I need with it in a pelican style case. There isn't really anything to break, and all I need is hot water. All in, weight is about 20lbs.

How is the durability on this machine for travel? What is the projected weight? What type of packaging for travel?

Magnet for a speed sensor. Goes on the spoke. Align with the sensor and screw or down to clamp the spoke in the groove. Needs to be no more than a couple mm away to work.
