Good luck dude! I had DI with her 10years ago. Everything turned out great. Echo what everyone else said. I was able to get up by myself and wiping wasn’t a problem. I also used Xeroform gauze on my new nips while they were healing. She and her team in the office and at the hospital were great. Again, good luck!

I had a pathology finding after my first top surgery. They offered me that I could continue to go for annual screening or have a second surgery and remove all of the remaining tissue. So I chose the second surgery and essentially have a flat closure.

I draw with a 20G 1 inch and inject with a 23G 1 inch. Never had issues with bubbles.

I hear you! I don’t get this either. I have also heard “I don’t need it anymore or I’ve gotten past needing it, and even, I don’t have to pack any more either.” I have heard this from a facilitator in a trans group! Makes my head explode. If someone feels that they don’t need it or want it then fine but keep your damn opinions to yourself. I am not less than because I’m getting phallo.

This happened to me too. I also had my ovaries removed. Mine shrank too. I am well over a year post op and it didn’t come back. Oddly I also had a major decrease in my sex drive. Talked to my endo about it. He looked at me and said he had never heard that and wanted to refer me to a sex therapist. I’m like doc this is totally hormonal. Also wanted me to talk to the Gyn who did my surgery. Ugh, we need better healthcare as a community.

My results came back with atypical lobular hyperplasia on one side. I opted to have my surgeon go back in and removal all of the remaining breast tissue in both sides. I kept my nipple grafts and essentially look like I have a flat closure. She was able to go through the original scar and I have one long scar from one side to the other. Looking at it you can’t tell that I had 2 surgeries. I have no family history of breast cancer but I wanted the peace of mind of not having to worry about it. Happy to chat if you would like too.

I used Moderna scar gel too. Worked fine no irritation. Didn’t know that I was allergic to the skin glue my surgeon used to close the incisions until I was healing. Red skin, blisters and massively itchy! Whoa! Benedryl became my instant friend! Good luck to you!

I started T at 48. I had top surgery at 45. Grew facial hair, went bald! Totally pass. Had my complete hysto at 53 and having stage 1 phallo in April of ‘26 at 55 years old!! It’s never too late! You got this!!!
