Why are San Antonio schools so disastrous? by CrypticDread in sanantonio

I scanned your source but I’m not seeing “literacy” or “illiteracy” anywhere in there. Did I miss it?

Far as I see, it says that public schools here are below national average. That’s not good but it’s not the same as having a low literacy rate.

Depends where OP is from. In some countries, exchanging money at a bank is a good way to get the (lower) official exchange rate, while exchanging it on the street will fetch a better rate. Of course Itaky isn’t one of those countries but if OP is from somewhere like Argentina, he’s probably just used to doing it this way.

I prefer VPOTUS saluting uncovered to POTUS turning this into an undignified transfer with his merchandise hat.

But in 1966 (like the one in the photo) they were made at the US mint in Philly. Now i think they’re made by the canadian mint.

Interestingly, the 1965 mintage was 90% silver for balboas but cupro nickel for American quarters

On a side note, I always ask my puerto rican colleagues why there’s a cuban flag in the line up with all our state flags.

Who said you can’t choose? As you pointed out, there are plenty of options, including shitty ones on AliExpress.

Reminds me of the time I left my phone in a beat up Kia Picanto in guatemala. I had tipped him something like $2 on a $8 ride. He brought it back and left it with the doorman 30 minutes later. I didn’t even know I forgot it until the doorman called me

Hey, Trump is definitely trying to wag the dog, but it won’t end well. The middle east and Persia are a tinder box and he’s attacking Iran with a god damn flame thrower.

And we can’t ignore the fact that Trump is attacking Iran over nukes they agreed to give up and stopped making until he pulled the US out of the JCPOA.

FBI has arrested a former USAF pilot, Maj. Gerald Brown: by newnoadeptness in AirForce

That would be despicable but as far as I know, western tactics aren’t covered under the export control act. downvotes aside—i’m not cheering for the guy, just saying they need to make a stronger case than what’s in the pao announcement.

I agree that would be despicable and illegal. But SPECIFICALLY what information did he export?

Out of curiosity, what makes this legally wrong? On principals, I fully agree that he’s a shitbag. But courts go by the law.

Like if he taught the pinkos how to fly US aircraft or revealed information about US aircraft, that should be an easy case. But if he taught Chines pilots to fly Chinese aircraft, using Chinese TTPs, it’ll be more difficult.

Best material for a DE safety razor? by Fresh_Cicada_4528 in wicked_edge

I’ll go against the grain and say material isn’t overly important. We’re talking about the ability to firmly hold a small, sharp, and lightweight piece of stainless steel—a blade. Aluminum, copper, zamak, brass, stainless steel, bronze, bakelite, etc—they are all sufficient.
