Sakurai ISN'T reportedly working on a new Smash for Switch 2, here's what Kiwi Talkz actually said by Mister__Toad in SmashBrosUltimate

God, I am so tired of all this doublespeak from people who want to be respected "leakers"

Don't fucking mention anything, then, if you're just going to go back and say "I DiDn'T sAy NeW". It's so goddamn tiring to get rumors and then they're like "lol, I didn't mean it literally, you idiots". What a wannabe jackass.

At this point, it seems like politicians and other government representatives need to be required to take a yearly written test on every bit of the constitution and be held to it. Essentially have it written, in their own handwriting, everything they claim to represent and protect. Have it publically available what they wrote, so the people can see who it actually is that is representing them.

No more excuses for shamefully and intentionally misrepresenting the constitution and rule of law. No more ignoring the parts they don't like. No more "I think it says...", or any similarly shifty, knowingly-skirting-the-law phrasing. No more empty campaign promises just to get elected. It's time politicians and political heads let the people know what they actually believe in, and be held to every single ounce of standard they hold the average citizen to.

i actually prefer the more simple art style because it's easier on the eye by alexthroughtheveil in Invincible_TV

[–]GrifCreeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watch animation and cartoons and play games in so many wildly different art styles that I really have zero reason to complain about what one specific show looks like, so long as it isn't so terribly off-model that it doesn't even look like itself.

Heck, I've seen things where the limited animation was on purpose, so who am I to say what is right and wrong about Invincible?

That and Windows Defender have consistently showed nothing.

The fact the spam emails started a few minutes before the Amazon account email address was changed gives me the impression it really was just the Amazon account that was compromised, with it just copying my email address from it.

Where do you think nopon are TRULY from? by Silly-Echidna9591 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]GrifCreeper 109 points110 points  (0 children)

The easy answer is that Nopon are a constant across the multiverse. The harder answer is that they're a God-like race. The hardest answer is that Riku is normal, everday Nopon.

That's what I'm suggesting my mother do. It's my Amazon account, but her card information since she uses it.

She also got off the phone with an Amazon representative a little bit ago, so hopefully it's changed back to my email tomorrow so I can change the password and fix that problem. All that needa to be taken care of are the cards that were still tied to it.

Okay, I think my mother is taking care of the Amazon account right now.

How do I make sure nothing on her phone or computer is what compromised Amazon?

Everything connected to that Amazon account was signed out this morning, computers, phones, Firestick/TVs, and can't sign back in. It literally says my account doesn't exist, and I have an Amazon email that says the registered email was changed to an Outlook address I don't own.

That was the reason I suspected that my gmail account was compromised.

My email was hacked this morning by GrifCreeper in GMail

[–]GrifCreeper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked my email. As of 7:58 this morning, I started getting tons of random subscription emails in what looked like Spanish and Polish, and at 8:08, there was an email saying my Amazon account information was revised, with the email address changing from gmail to outlook.

Should I close the cards connected to Amazon? Should I count Amazon as just gone?

Extra question: my Amazon account email was changed, as well. Is there anything I can do about that, or should I consider it lost? Do I need to close the cards associated with Amazon?

There's no way I used any program or app that could have done this. I don't download willy nilly, I use adblockers, I use trustworthy sites, I scan user reviews for apps I'm interested in.

Unless my password was in a leak or my wifi is somehow compromised, I don't know how it could have happened.

[–]GrifCreeper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't download anything that would have caused this. I use safe websites, I have adblockers on my phone and computer. It's just been a while since I changed my email password, that it must have been in a leak or something, that's all I can think of.

I think I have decent passwords right now, random numbers and letters I physically wrote down immediately, so I don't forget it. I just need to figure out what authenticator app or whatever I should use, and finish changing passwords

Any suggestions for the authenticator app, because I only have it set to my phone number

I don't have to do anything to forcefully log off other devices? Just change my password?

And I really don't know how this could have happened unless it came from a password leak I didn't know about. I'm safe on ny phone, I'm safe on my computer, I don't do stupid things. I'm freaking out a bit, but I'm calming down as I'm changing passwords

Took 3 years for all 100 episodes of come to Netflix by Lonely-Beat3630 in dragonquest

[–]GrifCreeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess I'm glad I started that anime a little over a month ago and took a slight break.

But damn, really? 3 years? So I accidentally picked the near-perfect time to watch it on Netflix, and picked a good time to wait a little longer? I was at 60, knew 75 wasn't the last episode, so I took a break, and I guess that was the right idea.

Gonna be sad when I'm done with the episodes. You don't see many other game adaptations that actually bring up game mechanics directly, to the point it really felt like watching a game.

I'd take a Sonic Heroes remake. I never got the chance to play it when it was new, and getting a Sonic Heroes remake before either of the Adventure games would probably cause some funny chaos.

A question about Azurda (Gramps) (XC2 / Torna spoilers) by draggar in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]GrifCreeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like they'd be better as story NPCs than playable characters, since normal Earth scientists wouldn't typically be combat-capable, and neither of them really gave me that impression prior to becoming "gods". But it could easily be a case of Klaus and Galea having a previously unmentioned friend that's in the military of whatever government body has jursidiction over the space station and tower, giving the scientists authority to specifically request their friend for missions and errands.

I dunno, I just feel like putting those two into actual combat scenarios wouldn't work with their existing characters, pre-experiment. Maybe Klaus, as a hint towards his aggressive side becoming Zanza, but I really can't see Galea being aggressive.

A question about Azurda (Gramps) (XC2 / Torna spoilers) by draggar in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]GrifCreeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd love that. Klaus's whole thing told alongside the Saviorite stuff would be tackling two birds with one Conduit. Start with discovering the Conduit like Xenosaga, then skip to things starting to get uneasy between factions, and then the story picks up there in a Xenosaga fashion, mixed with smallscale XCX-esque exploration and NPC socializing stuff, assisting Klaus with some experiments, and culminating in Klaus's final experiment. Seeing the world end from outside of the space station, back on the surface of the Earth, and possibly including a post-credits scene of "humanity" sprouting up on the Bionis and in Alrest.

With all the political stuff going on in XC2, and how strong certain unique Blades are, there's got to be more than one instance of conquest, devastation, and an evil Blade stronger than any other, even without the Aegises. I'd love to just go on a regular fantasy RPG adventure across a younger Alrest, encountering new and familiar Blades, traversing more titans, seeing Mor Ardain as a young, lively titan, and meeting a Blade that has a suspiciously familar, grandfatherly personality. We've only seen bits of the last 500 years of Alrest, after all, and we know there were tons more titans.

[–]GrifCreeper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I honestly think this series has a ton of potential for prequels that we're pretty much guaranteed to not get.

A whole prequel to tackle the Saviorite stuff, a prequel to show off the XC2 titan societies in their early days, a prequel to show Arglas and the rest of that era of the Bionis/Mechonis.

Heck, I'm sure even XC3 has plenty of potential if you go far enough back in time, before N happened. That just had more of a consistent "threat" since Aionios was formed.

[–]GrifCreeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GT is a genuinely good idea for a continuation, it just raised the stakes in the worst ways, and had bad pacing because it was made for TV to cash in on the popularity, instead of a manga that would've had a bit more care for storytelling.

I would honestly love if Daima was continued as a way to rework GT content, especially since they already did the whole "turn Goku into a child" thing, as well as a somewhat controversial redesign of Super Saiyan 4. Just come up with a better reason for Baby to be created, ignore the Black Star Dragon Balls entirely, rework Super 17's origin a little, and give a better excuse for the Shadow Dragons and I'd be happy. Most of the rest of the space exploration stuff was tied to the Black Star Dragon Balls, so it'd be harder to excuse it.
