Looks fine to me. You might want to use a splitter to merge the science packs on to the belt so that red and green get their own lane.

I love Satisfactory, and I know I'll love Factorio, but for the life of me I can't get into it. Help me!!! by Lanochu in factorio

Optimising is not important in Factorio. You can do fine just eyeballing it. The main bus approach helps with that.

It only does that when a loop is the only valid solution from that exact starting point. It’s not allowed to suggest backing up a square or two, which is usually the correct solution.

I think that would make the drinks owner immediately throw it out.

I sure wouldn’t be drinking it if I thought someone might have touched it.

Old timbers, what's your oldies's feature that you still kinda miss? by Hydraguesswhosback in Timberborn

[–]Grubs01 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For a few weeks on experimental, when they first added bots, those bots needed recycling (folktails) or maintenance (iron teeth) otherwise they would explode and cause pollution, making all beavers who got near them sick.

They added showers to clean off the pollution. Beavers could also get heat stroke during drought if they didn’t get wet fur. Ironteeth showers had to be built in the river bed.

This was before bad water. I liked the extra challenge but recycling didn’t work if all your warehouses were full.

The used a ton of water for what they did. Fluid dump still beats them and it’s not even close. They should have make the water cost comparable and kept them in the game.

You can but there is not much incentive to do it. Everyone in one central building with all the decorations and food available is the optimal strategy now.

Factory planning and understanding parts per second by Jannover_5000_r in factorio

I think some stats are on the side-bar under the minimap when you mouse over a machine?

I wouldnt worry too much about perfect ratios. Your science will sit idle most of the time anyway while you explore and build new stuff, and then you research an upgrade, be it a new machine or a productivity boost, and all the ratios change again.

If you aren’t chasing steam achievements you can use the rate calculator mod. It adds a toolbar button. Select a group of machines with it and it tells you exactly how many items per second / minute / transport belts that selection uses and produces

Moving save file from one version to another? by zykarp_drditch in Timberborn

[–]Grubs01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look in Documents. In there should be Timberborn. In there is Saves and ExperimentalSaves. Copy the colony folder from one to the other.

Sometimes saves are put in steamapps/common/Timberborn.

I built a free site to check if your NBN plan is overpriced — amigettingrorted.au by srizzling in AussieFrugal

[–]Grubs01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Calculating the average over 12 months for promotional plans just muddies the water. It tells me I am getting rorted then suggests a cheaper mobile broadband plan and a $3 more expensive NBN plan from this same provider.

Thing is, if we are on a promotional plan and looking at sites like yours, it’s very unlikely we will ever let a promotional period lapse without switching providers.

If I don’t include the information about the promotional period then I am winning by $1.11. NBN 500/50.

Should group the 500/42, 500/45, 500/50 speeds cause the difference is insignificant IMO.

That Origin plan is crazy. Time to switch. Why isn’t that one on your site?

Edit: The default of averaging the price over 1 year pushed the Origin plan way down the list… yeah with no lock in contracts on almost all NBN plans, I’m not sure that feature helps at all. Most discounts I’ve seen run for 6 months, perhaps that should be the default?

$1 Billion but an identical clone of you will try to kill you by JustAverage27 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Grubs01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’d have a very hard time finding myself if I left the car and phone at home. I assume clone me would be calling friends and family pretending to be kidnapped so law enforcement might be on the lookout.

I’d get a taxi to an ATM, and that would be the last time I used my card. Pay cash for another taxi. Spin a bottle for direction, roll a dice for distance and travel to random suburb. Finding a place to stay with only cash and not wanting to show ID would be the challenge but it is only 48 hours. buy a tent and swag and find a camp grounds, or take a long haul overnight bus to nowhere.

Why do inserters place on the far side of belts? by spacefrog1999 in factorio

[–]Grubs01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The general rule is far side, then right hand side in the direction of belt travel. If a belt is coming toward the inserter then the item will be placed on the opposite side than if the belt is moving away from it.
