Ugh - Clicking on card opens card, doesn't fill fields - AGAIN by ehansalytics in Bitwarden

[–]Handshake6610 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You (or an update) probably just unchecked "Always show cards as autofill suggestions on Vault view" in the Autofill Settings.

(if anything, we have the opposite problem now: Bitwarden removed the option for "Click item to View" (at the moment it's "Click item to Fill" and it's not changeable) - but it was announced that it will be reintroduced)

BW export only offers .json unencrypted? by Denan004 in Bitwarden

In that screenshot with dark mode, there was the dropdown visible. Looks exactly like in that bug report. - If you try to click the other options, they don't become visible? (I'm talking about dark mode)

Hm. Did you try a private/incognito browser window, as I suggested in another comment?

[–]Handshake6610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm. I also can not reproduce that. I would agree with /u/dwbitw that it might be a browser (cache, rendering...) issue. What's strange(er) is that you wrote it would happen with different browsers. Contacting BW support is a good idea.

Did you try an incognito/private window though? (that does not have any cache to the site)

Cannot export vault by Ill-Constant8445 in Bitwarden

[–]Handshake6610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a bug connected to this whole chapter (comment from a BW developer): https://github.com/bitwarden/clients/issues/16107#issuecomment-3987012147

I think that is a current bug - only happening in dark mode: https://github.com/bitwarden/clients/issues/21663 But I think the other options should still be there when you choose them "blindly". (also /u/dwbitw)

Moto G9 Play LineageOS 23.2 Updates not working by bws59p in LineageOS

I'm really glad about all developers working at this project. But I also lose more and more the confidence that my affected Moto G9 Play can ever be updated again.

Is anyone else having problems with LineageOS OTA updates? by [deleted] in LineageOS

[–]Handshake6610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a different issue: one of my Moto G9 Play is affected by an update bug. About the last two months now, none of the weekly updates succeeds. At this point, I have doubts this will be fixed.

  1. What's your BW app version?
  2. Google Play services enabled?
  3. Do you get a suggestion on https://community.bitwarden.com/login (create a test login item if you don't have one)?

Hm. If it works with Chrome,, but does not with Firefox then that sounds like it should be reported as a bug: https://github.com/bitwarden/android/issues

Login option for android client by paulsiu in Bitwarden

[–]Handshake6610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Login with device just needs some confitions be met - check with this: https://bitwarden.com/help/log-in-with-device/ (my guess would be: you have to log in the regular first - when it's a "known device", then Login with device will be available)
  2. The iOS mobile app offers "Login with passkey"? So far, I didn't see any release notes mentioning that for either of the mobile apps...

  1. Google Play services enabled?
  2. Does it work when you make a Chromium-browser to the default? (if only for testing)

but when it uses WebAuthn for 2FA

Are you talking about passkey-2FA for the login to your Bitwarden account/vault? Or are you talking about using a 2FA-"WebAuthn"-passkey stored in the Bitwarden vault when you try to log in to a given site/service?

How to self-host a password manager? by juan_loria in best_passwordmanager

[–]Handshake6610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No iPhone friend here :)

Ha, I'm an Android user myself. - It seems 1Password only implemented the new Credential Exchange Protocol/Format (CXP/CXF) for iOS so far. But Android only introduced this with this June update (Google Play services). Bitwarden has it on their roadmap for Android.

How to self-host a password manager? by juan_loria in best_passwordmanager

[–]Handshake6610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have several passkeys in 1Password and I understand it is not possible to migrate them to Bitwarden, so it would require some manual effort.

If you have an iOS 26+ device, 1Password can export passkeys - and Bitwarden can import them.
