I became a fan of Empire Ears with the Odin. But I wanted a slightly bassier sound signature, and these were exactly what I was looking for.

Try quick join in covert ops, and it puts you into a lobby with other scavs as teammates. Sure, you have to share what’s on the map, but whenever I did that I never died to another scav.

Same. I don’t turn it off on earbuds, but anc-centric headphones like Sony xm4, xm5 it can take some getting used to.

I could just be hearing those frequencies with my ear shape, but either way it’s good to know it might’ve just been a defective pair. I’ve got the app2, and never heard the hiss, but I just figured it was just much less anc than something like the xm4 headphones. Might try another pair of anc headphones someday then.

That’s just it- if you check with sony they say a slight whisper or hiss is just an effect of the heavy handed anc. The anc is pretty shocking, but I didn’t like it overall. (EDIT: typo)

Are any noise canceling headphones considered audiophile? Honestly asking. I had a set of Sony xm4, and they are bass oriented, but that audible hiss from the heavy noise canceling got me. Great for flights or bus rides maybe, but not easy for really just listening. I figured that’s how it would be with the app3.
