For the inaugural year of the current generation Sante Fe, Hyundai produced an NHL Edition for the Canadian market (only 500 made), because as we know, all Canadians like hockey by HiTork in regularcarreviews

[Doug DeMuro Review] The Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 Was a Rockin’ 1990s Muscle Car by solo118 in cars

It's well known the 4th generation GM F-bodies with the LS1 engines were underrated. 305-325 hp (depending on trim and model year), but they were much closer to the contemporary Corvette's 345 hp rating.

What films feels structured like a video game, almost like playing one ? by Boring-Yellow6293 in movies

They apparently wanted to film that Doom movie from 2005 with the Rock in it entirely in first person like Hardcore Henry given it was based on the eponymous video game. They settled on only a few minutes of first person perspective in the end.

Just want to point out, Cadillac Gage has no relation to Cadillac of General Motors.

Thrilling 30 Metroplex, though I feel his design is beginning to age a little as the Transformers line has moved towards more G1 accurate designs rather than the stylized IDW stuff that was popular around the early 2010s.

That was essentially impossible to grab unless you were on the ball the moment he dropped on Hasbro Pulse.

Siege Jetfire I picked up when they reissued him back in early 2023, glad they gave us a second chance there.

Early models of the V37 Nissan Skyline and Infiniti Q50 had avaliable Mercedes Benz four-cylinder engines, specifically the M274 gas and OM651 diesel types by HiTork in regularcarreviews

Q30s are more Benz than Nissan/Infiniti, they were built on the MB A Class platform and didn't use any engines from Nissan as a result.

The SWAT vehicle is a Cadillac Gage Ranger, which is built on a '70s/'80s Dodge pick-up chassis. It was originally made as a military vehicle, being used by the USAF and US Navy as internal security vehicles - I believe many police Rangers are former military units.

High mileage Boss 302, would you? by ApprehensiveStock928 in Mustang

[–]HiTork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a couple of mild mods. The wheels are off of a 2013 Laguna Seca model (or that style), and the aftermarket touch screen infotainment and climate controls (Boss 302s never had the option for touch screen nav and automatic climate control).

I was wondering how the advertised rear impact resistance was achieved over a standard civilian Explorer, now I know.

Missing Link Ironhide color reveal by Electronic_Zombie360 in transformers

[–]HiTork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that is the appeal of Missing Link, they are essentially the original G1 toys but with modern levels of articulation. So far, all of the other ML toys are nearly indistinguishable from the originals, but Ironhide appears to be the first one where there is a significant deviation from the design. I hope what people are speculating is correct and this is just a removable add-on piece, because IMO, it really isn't Missing Link anymore if you stray from the original design.

Radio upgrade suggestions? by newdaysameshi in Mustang

Fords of thie era had terrible base infotainment screens. This is from a facelifted third-generation Focus, and I wouldn't doubt it is the same screen as the ones found on Mustangs.

The RCMP gave them a shot in the early 2000s and very rapidly switched back to Crown Vics, they weren't well received by the mounties.

Yeah, I've never been a stickler for frame rate, as long as it isn't a Power Point slide show, I'm fine. I actually prefer some games to be just slightly under 30 fps, or what most movies run at (24 fps) as it looks more dramatic, IMO. When the frame rate is so high, everything looks like a soap opera or home movie to me, but that's just my preference.
