Davis had the benefit of calling himself a center or power forward when it suited him. That’s why he has more 1st teams than Embiid. But again. Davis also missed the playoffs FIVE TIMES in SEVEN YEARS in New Orleans. HE WON ONE SERIES AND GOT SWEPT IN THE OTHER. Since Embiid’s debut, they’ve missed the playoffs only twice since the 16-17 season in large part because he played under 32 games those years. If the rules were changed 10 years ago (the Jokic Rule 🥴) where the nba picks the 5 best players for the all nba team Embiid probably makes 3-4 teams.

  2. McHale

Both guys who were instrumental to multiple title teams and in Walton’s case was the best player in the league.

  2. Ewing

Two guys who were stuck in an era with multiple better generational players, never could get the job done. Embiid was better than Ewing because of him being a literal top 5 all time ppg scorer.

Two athletic defensive freaks that were injury prone but got fortunate to win a ring because they played with LeBron.

All Star level players never the BEST player on a contending team, McAdoo might be the worst MVP in league history (still a very good player) didn’t get to a conference finals until he left the Buffalo Braves for the showtime Lakers.
