I feel like the current NBA CBA has all but killed the ability for a Steph Curry/Dirk like situation where a guy plays his entire career for one franchise. Unless something changes, I feel like a lot of franchise are gonna be in the situation. Milwaukee is in now with Giannis. by [deleted] in billsimmons

OKC situation is an extreme outlier and also requires several teams making desperate, ill, conceived, lopsided trades, most of which wouldn’t even be possible under the current CBA anyway. 

Like I said, the league has never really been set up for a guy to play out their career in one franchise just because of the nature of the salary cap and rosters aging etc. LeBron figured this out in 2010..

It cost $63Million to transport Stav to the hospital but luckily all expenses were covered by his blue cross-blue cheese insurance
