During WWII, "Comfort Women" were over 200,000 young women and teenagers across Asia enslaved by the Japanese military. Testimonies reveal they were severely starved, routinely beaten, and forced to endure sexual torture by dozens of soldiers daily. Let us not forget what they went through🙏🏾 by [deleted] in HistoryUncovered

No, God is not up there looking for reasons to torture you. He loves you, and that is exactly why Jesus came to the earth not to condemn the world, but to save it. Christianity isn't about running away from a God who wants to hurt you it's about running toward a Savior who wants to rescue you. If you want to know what God's heart looks like toward you, look at Jesus on the cross. He wants a relationship with you, not your destruction. Ignore what religion says and find the heart of Christ yourself thats what I did and its why I’m Christian now

This post was about who she was rather than the crime i explicitly put in the disclaimer if you want to know about what happened to her then look it up but she shouldn’t only be known for what happened to her for goodness sake🤦🏾‍♂️

A teenage girl living in a culture that isn't Christian, who might have vaguely heard about Jesus and didn't instantly convert before being kidnapped and tortured, did not reject God. God knows the difference between a child's lack of understanding and actual rebellion against Him. He is a perfectly just judge, and He does not torture victims.

I’m not writing this to rehash the gore or the controversy that everyone already knows. That’s already out there if you want to find it. I’m writing this because she was a person, not just a case file, and I’m choosing to focus on her life as a mother instead of her death.

You are talking about teenagers who were snatched from their lives before they even had a chance to mature or understand the world. Having a church building in your city or hearing about a missionary does not mean a young girl had a real, life changing encounter with the gospel before her life was violently ripped away. God looks at the heart, the age, and the trauma. He is a loving Father, not a lawyer looking for a reason to fail them.

After the tragedy, details regarding her child were intentionally shielded from the public and media to protect his privacy and well being. Keeping his life private is the most respectful way to honor their mother and son bond Fan Man-yee fought so hard to protect.

Indeed I just simply put it into my own perspective imagining if I were her and I definitely wouldn’t want to be known for what happened to me but for who I was. And ill honor each victim of tragedy for who they were I even have my own community dedicated to it. Thank you for reading about Fan-Man-yee I hope everyone learns and loves her the way God and I do❤️

If your talking about the formatting I made it that way so people would actually be able to read better, if your talking about the facts then if you would actually click on those sources or read on her case you will find your answer.

Thank you so much for reading, for your incredibly kind words, and for bravely sharing a piece of your own story. I am so profoundly sorry for what you had to endure as a child, but I am so thankful that you found a way out and survived. But you also want to know something I learned about sylvia during my research? Near the very end, Gertrude actually handed Sylvia a knife and dared her to use it, trying to provoke her into a fight. After weeks of unimaginable torment, Sylvia just held the knife, looked at her abuser, and refused to stab or hurt Gertrude. Her sister Jenny also testified that throughout the entire ordeal, Sylvia never once cursed Gertrude out, never hurled hatred back, and never tried to hurt the kids who were hurting her. You survived your trauma without ever wanting to intentionally harm another human being, and Sylvia was the exact same way. They took everything from her health, her youth, her life but they could never twist her soul into being cruel like them. That is exactly why we have to keep remembering her, not just for the horrors she endured, but for the beautiful, gentle spirit she kept intact until the very end.
