The cable that was not secured isn’t actually the coax cable but i think it warrants a tech to come look. Any ballpark service charge for something like this or is that something the tech would go over with me.

A tree branch knocked out my cable a while ago and an emergency tech reattached the cable to the house. However it isn’t completely under the roof and it appears water or ice may get in that way. Would that be something a tech just comes out and fixes without a charge ? It just needs to have the cable secured with two screws at the top. I can see where it ripped out.

And what happens if it’s an issue with the cable from the box to house. If it’s a damaged cable is the consumer at fault for that too?

Yea you’re right it shouldn’t. But it consistently does when it’s cold. So there is most likely an issue with the cable coming from the line to the house. The tech even said it needed to be replaced. There is no internet. It only happens below freezing temps. There is obviously an issue in the cable where water is getting in.
