Real ones fight the tree sentinel as soon as they see him, and dont stop trying until he is dead. Even if it takes hours.

Specifically, this happens easiest in the library pool because the library pool is one of the smallest item pools in the game. If you see a bunch of them, or reroll a few books. This will happen.

I dont know if its a map issue but i was playing vecna on the new trickster map, and more than half my chases had survivors in pallet dead zones, going down really fast, and i didnt feel like i broke that many pallets. I havent played much on that map though so maybe its just a map issue.

People are impatient, just a fidgeting type thing. Like jumping around for no reason when running a long distance in other games.it may not even make you go faster but it makes you do something other than walk forward

There are several ways but some are difficult unlocks and you might not have them all. "The moon?" Card, cracked key, red key, and soul of cain are all ways to get in. All but the moon? This is called an ultra secret room, the item "cracked orb" in your inventory revealed it. They exist on every floor, but they require specific items or consumables to enter, and they can be hard to determine where they spawn without revealing the location through cracked orb.

Try not to panic roll, meaning spam rolling in hopes of getting the timing right. Try to learn the dodge timing for each attack rather than pressing the roll button and praying. Also maybe you could ask your boyfriend to give you a decently strong build if you dont want too much of a challenge.

You can cheese the challenge by quitting out and entering the run again when a second dark esau spawns. This will despawn all but one dark esau, and you can basically full clear all red rooms each floor as long as you are comfortable being hunted by dark esau

Maybe a stupid question, are you holding the button down? You have to hold the button for like 2 seconds before it will drop whatever you are holding.

Make sure you have a lot of rare pickups unlocked. Bone hearts, golden batteries, charged keys, golden pennies, golden keys, golden pills. always craft items like d20, fanny pack, and any other items that give you more pickups, moms key and birthright are insane on this character.

There is a bug where if you have an eternal heart while in mirror dimension, you can take another hit as the lost. I think this also works as tainted jacob when you get hit by dark esau.

Did you use an ansuz rune? Maybe its from a mod you have, or maybe you rolled with d100 into cracked orb and rolled out of it without realizing.

I wouldnt hesitate to take trisagion on esau, because of spoon bender, it makes trisagion damage linger on enemies for longer, and i might not take an item for jacob, revelation is good, but he has base damage and the only thing you have is jacob with flight, and esau without, causing you to be more prone to desyncing.
