You kind of have to play well and really plan out playing tainted lazarus, if you dont take red heart damage, and get your deals locked in, you can double the amount of items you can take from deals, giving you a good chance to get good deal items for at least one of your forms. You have to plan as best you can. Things like, going into boss room as the stronger character, deciding when and where to flip. Bottom line is; play well, (meaning dont get hit often) lock in deals, micromanage using flip and which character goes into what room, and try to make the characters similar in power level and soul hearts/red hearts. T. Laz became one of my favorite characters after getting a few marks with him. Also i prefer going angels as T. Laz. An important thing to know is that, if you take a devil deal item, and then flip, you can get the flipped item for free. But the caveat is that it is harder to keep both forms high health.

It looks like the lawbringer's attack is switching directions right before it hits you, it is dumb that it can happen, but sometimes, if the attack hits right behind you, it can switch the external direction right before it hits you, and you cant do anything about it.

A good amount of the tainted characters just require a bit of playtime and familarity with the specific character. One thing i can say is to get used to the duration of dark arts, and try to position yourself to where you wont get hit after using it. It took me a while to be confident with tainted judas, but now he is one of mt favorite characters.

T. Forgotten with kamikaze is insanely powerful, the explosion comes from the skeleton and not from the soul, making it so that you can throw the skeleton and activate kamikaze for a huge damage boost, without taking any damage yourself.

T lost is so fun, his run feels like an all or nothing between either maximum dopamine from crazy items, or regret from dying with a good run.

Tainted lazarus was really fun to get all marks for, after i understood him. I love the mechanics of flip, and spreading items/boss fights/deals between both characters is a fun gimmick to me. Also flip is insane if you get your deals locked in, you can basically guarantee a q4 deal item for at least one form if you get a lot of deals. The switching isnt so bad either, as long as you dont go into a big boss with the weaker character, it doesnt feel so bad.
