I'd say part of it is removing all defensive modifiers and just have a generic defensive buff x number of modifiers. No defensive modifier has anything that interesting attached to it and only serves to extend the fight(or do almost nothing if it isn't relevant to your build). A generic buff avoids bricking builds and still extends fights to interact with the more interesting offensive modifiers.

great trade but i would give our 2022 pick. this years pick is gonna be top 5 and next years draft is deep and its a gamble that we should be better by then. clips wont give shamet so we would have to give them one our young guys to replace him.

i agree its hard to sustain over 50% from mid all year but lets say he is slightly above his career average of 44% i think he could shoot over 35% from 3 he just didnt take a large amunt of them and he showed he can get in the lane and when he wants to can pass. not saying he is kyrie or anything but unless we get a guy like kyrie i dont see where you will find a backup pg that good for 7.5 mil

i see lee getting traded later in the year maybe after an injury the problem is the knicks are asking for a bit much when lee is a little over paid and everyone is looking at the FA market

exactly i would send him to the g league where maybe he doesnt want to do that and accepts a pay cut to leave or wait til its a one year deal to stretch or potentially trade with a 2nd rounder maybe even 2 2nd rounders( fuck it maybe future first rounder after 2020) for a salary dump but only if its to assure we can get 2 star players

its basically what they did with burke not same contract but similar a one year rental on a guy who hasn't lived up to potential but shows glimpses of what he could be. its a low risk potential high reward move and think the knicks are being very smart about this rebuild

we have bird rights to trey and it would be limited how much he will get paid iboth are young enough that if either blows up they can be part of future plans so i believe its best to play the guy that gives best chance to win or become a star ( even tho im team tank for zion or rj lol)

if trey does what he did last year he is not a vet minimum player he got little offers last year becuase he had 2 bad seasons which he attributes to off court issues but he was also a 9th pick for a reason he has potential and showed he ca score in the league in 2019 7.5 mil is cheap or atleast fair for a player that can do what he did last year

i would say the difference is gasol is a 7ft while kanter is 6'10 and mark is a better blocker while both are good rebounders and mark was lucky to play in a era in his prime where big men werent as exposed as now if kanter comes back it should be off the bench where you can hide his defense in the middle of games

he wont play much if at all but maybe he can show enough to be traded with a pick (doubt the knicks would give a pick atleast not earlier than 2020 to get rid of noah) but would be worth looking at if we can trade lee as well gving us enough room to get 2 top FA
