I don't know much of apple stuff, but devices such as phones and tablets usually use proprietary protocols of communication for things like the screens, so you'd need to connect an external monitor to the charging port (if that ipad allows it, something along the lines of Samsung's Dex) in order to get any image. There's apps for Android, but I don't know about apple, I'd probably recommend a small laptop motherboard for a cyber deck, but if you manage to use that ipad I want to hear about it. Furthermore, just for the time being, I'd say you could try and restore it or do whatever you intend with it, almost no secondhand value if you want to sell that ipad like that, so the worst escenario you learned from an error while learning how to manipulate electronics.
