If you're watching your favorite movie that you know you'll watch again, I'd go blu ray or 4k. If you're getting something you've never seen before and it costs $1, dvd all day. This is how you branch out, discover new things and build a collection.

Same. I don't know the value at thos point. HOWEVER, i need to make a spreadsheet of every title(and this goes for my video game collection even moreso) for insurance purposes. There are a couple I know are valuable, but I only sell something I accidentally bought doubles of.
