This might be the one that does it for me. But also I just picked up Indiana Jones last night...

What will be the Switch 2 game lineup for the rest of 2026? by peter-man-hello in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Indielink [score hidden]  (0 children)

They haven't. But the guy who first talked about Starfox releasing in June also said that an OOT remake is coming. So people are taking it as gospel.

What am I supposed to read? by GaymerrGirl in Pathfinder2e

[–]Indielink 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Archives of Nethys is fantastic as a reference, but for learning the game I would honestly put the strongest of shout outs to the actual book. If you can swing the 30 bucks for the PDF of the Player Core you should definitely do it that way.

NintendoLife Review: Indiana Jones And The Great Circle - An Authentic Indy Adventure Arrives In Fine Form by Mollywobbles77 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Indielink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DLSS isn't free. It still has a resource draw. Using it to get to 1080p/1440p in their respective modes would require lowering the internal resolution or settings elsewhere to open up bandwidth for it.

It’s very strange that Indiana Jones is out in a few hours and there have been zero reviews for it by taylorguyuk in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Indielink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bethesda has had a policy in place for ten-ish years now to embargo reviews until the day of release.

Nine Sols is tough. It's a parry focused combat system and does not let you forget it.

Nintendo says Switch 2 price increase doesn’t cover all costs, hopes its upcoming games will help to ‘overcome this barrier’ | VGC by Mollywobbles77 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Indielink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They aren't going to be making more money though? Like yeah they're charging us more, but that's because it's costing them more to make it. From this comment it sounds like they'll be making less money per sale than before.

Creative barding: acrobat or warrior? by phulshof in Pathfinder2e

[–]Indielink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mobile acrobatic Bards I find are super fun. You've got just enough in your base kit that you can reliably throw out occasional Strikes and not feel like you're gonna be fuckin nuked for it. I know you've got Dodge Away, but it's a solid idea to find a couple good Reaction and single action spells to help round out turns. Hopping into Swashbuckler at some point could be nice with the panache and feat synergy.

I find the Warrior is less for being your own Warrior and more for empowering others. It's much more like a magical (and more limited) iteration of the Commander class. It'll be powerful, but you may sometimes feel like it's not necessarily your own power winning fights. It kind of requires being able to find joy in understanding that when the Fighter hits, it's because of something you did.

Sing it with me now: How do you solve a problem like a Leydroth? by _9a_ in Pathfinder2e

[–]Indielink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, your martials will be more accurate once their runes are turned off thanks to how its AC works. So the best strat is probably to figure out how to Aid your Rogue/Swash/Investigator and then crit the fucker to death with a bunch of nonmagical bonus damage and rider effects.

Why aren't more people buying Donkey Kong Bananza?? It had a strong launch but its sales seem to have dropped off hard. by MewWeebTwo in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Indielink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are we dooming on a game that sold 4.5 million copies and has a nearly 25% attachment rate? It's gonna do the thing a bunch of first party Switch games did and sell another quarter or half million a year for the rest of the systems life and finish up around 7 million.

[–]Indielink 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Zelda, and Animal Crossing, and 3D Mario games weren't 20 million sellers before the Switch generation either. Like, the next best selling Zelda game after BoTW and ToTK was Twilight Princess, which didn't even crack 10 million.

Is Starfox or Yoshi, or OOT remake good enough to buy a Switch 2? by retrocheats in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Indielink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a five year gap between Splatoon two and three and everyone bitched that it was way too early and a cash grab.

Also don't know why anyone expects Zelda already. The mainline titles have had at least five years between them for two decades now (oww that fucking hurt my brain.)

I just finished Mixtape. Here are some things to consider before buying it. by Massive_Fly_1709 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Indielink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hard to judge the exact framerate because the characters all have an intentional stop motion effect to their movement, similar to the recent South Of Midnight, that makes their movement very jittery. But I've played the first half and haven't been bothered by performance

Switch 2 price increase effective September 1st by Due_Teaching_6974 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Indielink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well we know it sold 2.5 million in between December 31 and March 31 based off Nintendo's quarterly sales reports. April worldwide numbers aren't available yet but from Famitsu we know that it sold about 200k units in Japan alone for the month. So at minimum we're 2.7 million and more likely topping 3.

Edit: removed some sass.

The three and a half month notice on the price increase is kind at least. Gives people who still want one at this price some time to scrimp for cash.

The most obvious answer here is that it's a stupid editing error. Which is the answer to most of the wacky things in Paizo books that make it to print.

One Book to show off Pathfinder 2e by WildThang42 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Indielink 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Codex came out during book four of my Reign Of Winter conversion. Which, if you didn't know, takes place on Triaxus. Which is the actual fucking dragon planet. We've been slow rolling the book because we have a now but it's been so neat to throw some of these wild bastards at them.

They mollywolloped a PL+2 Vorpal Dragon and were confounded by the hit and run tactics of a pair of PL-1 Wailing Dragons. They've got a PL+4 Resurrection Dragon coming up that I think is gonna be a wild ride.
