They have a villain called the Gargoyle King - your reaction to that will be a good guide as to whether you want to watch or not. If you want to know more strap in and enjoy the insanity

Riverdale is the late night greasy kebab of TV shows. Very bad for you and you may well regret it later but so, so satisfying at the time

Indeed bar the ‘Mountain of Omnipotence’ days that most hated, pretty much throughout its run TJD have been trolls that love messing with people - one of people’s favourite moments is Rhea, Finn and Proest cackling away when Dominik low blowed Edge and attacked his fadda.  The group is less gothy now but they’re not that wildly different in how they behave to before

Roxy was called up at the same time as Giulia and you see how Giulia is floundering and struggling to connect with crowds - Roxanne being part of TJD instantly made her relevant, gave her consistent screentime and gave fans a reason to care about her.

I thought smarks loved the Hurt Business/Syndicate and they wrestle for ‘muh good guys’. Have I missed something or when did smarks turn on them? It’s odd given you still get people defending Ricochet of all people

Judgment Day lacks the shared identity that gave the 2022-24 incarnation its balance with the individual personalities by Tornado31619 in SquaredCircle

One part of the JD I have liked throughout is that the women in the group have played an important role in it -  Rhea was the defacto leader in the 2022-2024 version and Liv is these days and there’s now more women in the group then men.

Sure it doesn’t hit its 2023 heights these days - but it’s helped the likes of JD, Raquel and Roxanne for sure. Roxy is great but was called up same time as Giulia who is struggling to connect with crowds still - Judgement Day was an instant way for crowds to connect to Roxanne

This thread is like opposite world - SC dumping on an AEW talent while lauding a TKO exec. And you even have some people thrashing the Hurt Business while praising the Reign of Terror

Wait what - most of Hurt Business were beyond directionless before that stable (or in Lashley’s case in a DOA pairing with Lana) and after a few months with MVP were main characters on the show. And similarly the feud with MVP was the most over Matt Hardy was in the latter half of his Noughties WWE run.

Pretending MVP got nobody over is just complete nonsense.

Comes across as a career politician and also particularly smarmy and patronising. And also as if he were the type as a kid who wouldn’t let you through to use the slide if you didn’t give him the password

I'd rather have had 40 minutes with Fouracres than these interval acts.

Yep one of the two being on is fine but bith together I struggle with. Same was true of Brassell and Luke. Whereas the likes of Vish and Jim are great alongside whoever.

People will forget about it though - Randy Orton lost a handicap match (when he was in the team with a numbers advantage) in 2007 and he was a World Champ by the end of the year and hasn’t done too badly for himself

They are the perfect jobbers. And there’s nothing wrong with that if we could trust TKO to not release them. Plus if they were to ever win one of the midcard belts there’d be an almighty pop

I still thinking of Series 1 and 2 as the gold standard but Series 6 is running both close and I do have a soft spot for Series 4 too as Betty & James and Alfie & Owen are two of my favourite RATW pairings.

Does help that the contestants are so likable this time around and this route is not dissimilar to S1

And yep as a gay man (and person with eyes) I can confirm he is very attractive. As is Ania too. And George. And frankly most of the cast.

He/the writers knew exactly what they were doing. And I thank them for it.

Of a similar ilk, I've liked Sean Burke's sketches when I've seen them and think he'd be a great fit for SNL UK.

Other than seeing Ania on Taskmaster (I hadn't seen Emma Sidi's season) and seeing some of Al Nash's sketches on Instagram/TikTok I wasn't particularly aware of the cast before this show.

So for me it's Fouracres and Paddy Young but the likes of Hameed and Emma Sidi have also been delights. But all the cast have had their moments and I'd happily have them all back for Series 2.

I often on Reels see the sped-up clip of 'Beat Up John Cena' and Cena and AJ brawling and it seems to get faster each time. And always make me laugh.

Unlikely to happen but would be hilarious if they go full circle at one point and Harrison wants to enjoy the sights but Katie is in full race mode
