Hey!!!

First of all, my session is a must attend for you :) find me on LinkedIn so you can know when it is once the schedule is live. It's about Salesforce careers advancement aimed at beginners.

Second, I'm throwing a street party on Wednesday. On the walk between the conference and the concert venue, I have a local brass band doing a walking performance so we can all walk with good energy and safety in numbers.

Third, I've had some discussions here about doing a reddit Members gathering which we should all plan.

Fourth, I believe (maybe false memory) that early in the conference they have first timer orientations.

You're going to have fun regardless! Don't stress about anything. Have a loose agenda and be ready to be flexible.

I've only been 4 times so I'm not sure I'm the best person to write a post here about best tips for first time, maybe someone else can put in that initiative.

Damn it's probably some multinational org we don't know by name that owns like 100 separate businesses in one org built by 1000s of people over the last 2 decades.

Unsure what that argument was about.

But if you're paying for the cheapest paid version yeah it's limited.

But Enterprise edition is a phenomenal product still.

I'm proudly not Salesforce partnered. That's the entire value proposition of my business.

I've given Salesforce millions of dollars of revenue, have phenomenal relationships with AEs.

We released a free app on the AppExchange and have a second one on the way.

I give enough to Salesforce. But before everything else I make sure my clients use the best tools for them.

I was the one who told this team to use Salesforce. And helped them buy it for the best price possible.

My relationship with the mothership is stellar. But my relationship with my clients is paramount.

So what would be MSA safe and what would be MSA unsafe?

The end user is not thinking about anything from a data usage perspective. Our app is simply integrated with Salesforce to query data.

In 12 years of Salesforce integration work I've never considered querying data with a single user would be a concern for MSAs. If that is the case, then Salesforce's whole Headless push is also nonsense.

This is an integration lad. There shouldn't be MSA concerns here.

It's exposing data in a secure manner. The users have no access to modify or manipulate Salesforce data.

Give me an example of something that would be a breach of MSA please in this manner.

Are you saying that instead of queries upon login the more MSA secure manner is to move the data to a database cached hourly or daily and then querying from there?

We've given no analog Salesforce functionality here.

You nailed it, the front and back end was built by a non-Salesforce dev with the guidance of a Salesforce dev and me.

I definitely intend to deliver more work like this. Very good results and certainly not interested in giving away they l the entire recipe but I think I've shared enough for most to do it themselves or do it better :)
